Soap is probably the most well-known cleansing product and has been an essential part of our daily care for centuries. It is believed that the cleansing effect of soap was first discovered by the Romans. The use of soap-like products made from fats and potassium salts was already mentioned in the Old Testament.
Our soaps are all made using the cold process saponification method. These natural cosmetic soaps have nothing in common with industrially produced soaps, they are of a completely different quality level. A precisely measured amount of lye is added to the high-quality fats, oils, and waxes. The goal is an incomplete saponification of the fats and oils to achieve a nourishing effect (called superfatted). These saponified oils and fats cleanse and care for the skin without drying it out. Thanks to the alkaline pH value of natural soaps, they cause skin particles to swell slightly and thus promote skin renewal.
