Oppidum

Christophe Fargier is the founder of Oppidum. After working for a long time as a Sales Manager in a consulting firm, he quit his corporate job at the end of 2018 to fully focus on Oppidum and soap making. Like some others, Christophe experienced skin problems a few years ago and then started making his own soaps in his kitchen. What began as a personal hobby has now become his calling. In the southwest of France, near Toulouse, Christophe and his partner have set up their Oppidum Workshop manufactory in the midst of nature.

Christophe: We focus on people who want to switch to natural skincare, people who follow a “slow cosmetics” approach. Our soaps have received both the “Slow Cosmetics” and "Cosmos Organic" certifications. In our Oppidum Workshop manufactory, we produce soaps with the utmost care by hand and strictly according to the old rules of the craft. We offer skincare expertise based on natural and organically grown ingredients. Excluding water, our soaps consist almost entirely of organically grown ingredients! Besides quality and naturalness, the fine lather and scent are especially important to us. The olfactory dimension of our soaps is meant to delight and combine care with pure pleasure.
