Sonya Driver is the founder of Eco By Sonya. Growing up on the Australian Gold Coast, the sun was a constant companion for Sonya.

For Sonya, it was always clear that tanning without skin-damaging UV rays was the better alternative. After her sister had to have a malignant melanoma removed, she decided to make a change.

She tested various self-tanners and took a closer look at the ingredients. She quickly stopped using these products because the ingredients were too harmful. That was the starting point for Eco By Sonya self-tanners. She began experimenting with cocoa, flower essences, chamomile, and other natural ingredients. The rest is history: in 2011, Eco By Sonya became the first and only self-tanner manufacturer certified by the Australian Organic Food Chain. Highlights include the now legendary Eco By Sonya Face Tan Water, the Glory Oil, and the organic Coconut Body Lotion.
