Before founding Ruhi, she wrote about clean skincare topics on beautyshelf.de. When she became pregnant, she developed a stronger interest in a holistic beauty approach. During her extensive study of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and naturopathy, she discovered many fascinating ancient medicinal plants as well as traditional beauty rituals like dry brushing massages, cupping treatments, and facial massage techniques. As a logical next step, Britta came up with the idea for her own complementary skincare line. Britta Hekmat: “We select our natural, bioactive ingredients based on their clinically proven effectiveness and use them in meaningful concentrations. With the latest scientific findings, we can use innovative biotech ingredients that are completely natural yet highly effective. For example, the Ruhi skincare line contains stem cell extract from goji berries and live probiotic cultures. At the same time, our skincare is ultra-gentle on the skin. We completely avoid synthetic ingredients and do not use drying alcohols, fragrances, or essential oils (in facial care).” The Ruhi skincare products are made in a natural cosmetics laboratory in Germany and comply with the strict requirements of the EU Cosmetics Regulation.
