Seifenmacher
Soap Opera – Curtain up for natural soaps! It all starts with the lye. Solid fats (coconut oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter) are melted in the soap kettle, and liquid base oils like sunflower oil are weighed out. The more precious essential oils as well as other natural ingredients (herbs, woods, spices) are carefully prepared for further processing. The base oils and now liquid fats are mixed until, with the addition of the lye at exactly 40 degrees Celsius, the much-cited soap wedding takes place – congratulations!
The Seifenmacher Beat Urech – based in Arosa, at home in the world – knows a thing or two about the miraculous soap-making process, as he was familiar with glycerin, lye, and essential oils early on as a trained druggist. The result is genuine Arosa natural soaps – for face, body, hands, hair, and soul. The natural soap manufactory is entirely family-run. Elisabeth takes care of packaging and shipping the soaps, Armin provides technical support, and Beat, as the heart of the soap-making, leads production and is responsible for the entire development.
