Therefore Beauty

The two minds behind Therefore Beauty (formerly: Terrorists Of Beauty) are Mar and Natalie: "We live together in a large startup shared apartment in Hamburg. One day in 2018, we noticed that many roommates in our apartment wanted to say goodbye to shower gels and shampoos and instead tried plastic-free bar soaps for showering. So did we. With moderate success. Somehow, nothing out there was convincing enough (for us) to achieve a long-term shift away from plastic and chemicals in the bathroom."

Mar and Natalie wanted to do better and founded Terrorists Of Beauty at the end of 2018. Their goal was to develop plastic-free soaps for hair, face, and body and to challenge the usual rules of the beauty industry. "We want to sell less and instead more of the right things. Therefore, our natural soaps replace shampoo, facial cleanser, and shower gel all in one. We want to think and work sustainably and thereby contribute to this world.

All soaps from Therefore Beauty are 100% natural, plastic-free, palm oil-free, vegan, and unisex. The soaps are handmade with great care in a workshop in Lower Saxony using the cold process method. Only high-quality cold-pressed oils are used in production. Each soap contains between 4 and a maximum of 15 ingredients. Our natural soaps are packaged at Stiftung Mensch in a workshop for people with disabilities and then shipped CO2-neutral. The packaging consists of FSC-certified cardboard and is printed climate-neutrally.

Why the new name? The world is changing – and so is Therefore Beauty. Instead of provoking, we now want to offer above all clarity and reliability: honest, minimal natural cosmetics that work in everyday life: unisex bar soaps that replace shampoo, shower gel, and facial cleanser.
