The Bug Spray from Anima Mundi is a plant-based outdoor spray for natural insect repellent – designed for the garden, travel, forest walks, picnics, and warm summer evenings outdoors.
The concentrated blend of citronella, lavender, cypress, rose geranium, and lemongrass relies on intensely aromatic essential oils traditionally used to keep mosquitoes and other small pests away.
- Citronella: One of the best-known plants for plant-based insect repellent. The essential oil is traditionally used to repel mosquitoes and other insects and gives the spray its fresh, lemony scent.
- Lemongrass: Intensely fragrant tropical grass with a clear citrus note. Lemongrass has been used for generations in outdoor and insect repellent blends, complementing the citronella-based formula with invigorating freshness.
- Rose Geranium: Traditionally used in natural outdoor formulas to keep mosquitoes and small pests away. At the same time, it gives the blend a green, floral note and supports a well-cared-for skin feeling.
- Lavender: Adds a softer, herbal facet to the formula and is traditionally used to care for stressed skin – pleasant after exposure to sun, wind, or nature.

Cypress: Gives the formulation an earthy, woody depth and rounds off the scent to be clearer and less sweet. In traditional plant blends, cypress is valued for balancing and cleansing applications.
Jojoba oil and castor oil form a nourishing base that spreads smoothly on the skin and pleasantly incorporates the essential oils. Anima Mundi is an herbal manufactory from Brooklyn, founded by Costa Rican herbalist Adriana Ayales. The brand combines traditional plant knowledge with modern self-care and develops elixirs, herbal blends, and skincare products based on selected roots, flowers, fruits, and plant extracts. Many formulations are inspired by tropical plant rituals and holistic wellness traditions.
Usage
- Apply a small amount to uncovered skin areas and gently massage in.
- Use sparingly due to the concentrated formulation.
- Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.

We carefully process and package your order in our warehouse in Reutlingen. Processing usually takes within 48 hours. As soon as your order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. After handover to DHL, the shipping time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.
The shipping costs 4.95€; for orders over 60€, we offer free shipping within Germany.
International orders are shipped depending on the destination country and package size with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium. The available shipping methods and costs are shown at checkout. Shipping time depends on the destination country, chosen shipping method, and customs clearance.
Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we provide a return label for 5.95€ upon request. Returns from abroad must be organized and paid for by the customer.
We package carefully, lovingly, and environmentally friendly. The box, filling material, and greeting card are made from recycled paper, and even the packing tape can be disposed of in the paper recycling bin.
