Ravanat uses whole bakuchiol seeds in the formula. In this traditional preparation, the seeds are soaked overnight in water, mixed with sesame oil, and ground into a paste. This mixture is then heated until no trace of water remains. What remains is bakuchiol oil in its purest form. It is an ancient method known in Ayurveda for improving hyperpigmentation and preserving youthful skin.

Application

Active Ingredients

• Licorice Root Extract (Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract) has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. It is known for its skin-smoothing and itch-relieving properties. It is therefore used for inflamed, irritated, and sensitive skin. Its antiviral and antibacterial effects make licorice a sought-after ingredient.
• Rose Oil (Rosa Damascena Flower Oil) – Essential rose oil from the flowers of the Damask rose acts antiseptically, anti-inflammatory, promotes circulation, and supports cell regeneration. An anti-aging ingredient that smooths the skin.
• Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a staple of Ayurveda and is also called “Indian ginseng.” This adaptogen supports collagen production, has strong antioxidant properties, and acts antimicrobial and antibacterial. Adaptogenic herbs and plants help keep our body in balance.
• The lotus flower (Nelumbo Nucifera (Lotus Flower)) contains fatty acids, antioxidants, flavonoids, polyphenols, and vitamins that nourish the skin and improve firmness and elasticity. The lotus flower also brightens and balances the skin. It helps regulate sebum production and prevents clogged pores, blackheads, and acne.
• Triphala is a blend of amla, bibhitaki, and haritaki – three nutrient-rich Ayurvedic plants. Triphala protects cell structure, promotes skin protein synthesis, binds moisture, and fights inflammation and oxidative stress.
• Bakuchiol / Bakuchiol Seed Oil (Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia) Seed Oil) is derived from the seeds and leaves of the Indian plant Psoralea Corylifolia and is considered a natural retinol alternative. A powerful plant for treating skin discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and leukoderma. With antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, bakuchiol promotes the skin’s natural tone and helps normalize individual pigmentation. Bakuchiol has been shown to stimulate collagen production, minimize wrinkles and lines, and improve skin texture and firmness. The ingredient has a long tradition as a medicinal plant in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Unlike traditional retinoids, it does not cause burning, irritation, or redness.
• Sunflower Oil (Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil) is rich in linoleic acid, antioxidants, and vitamin E. It supports wound healing, acts antibacterial, and helps the skin regenerate. The oil fights blemishes with vitamins A and D. It is well absorbed and does not clog pores.
• Geranium Oil (Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Oil) regulates sebum production. While it reduces sebum production in oily skin, it stimulates sebum production in dry skin. This essential oil, used for skin care since ancient Egypt, also stimulates blood circulation, improves skin elasticity, and has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and wound-healing effects.
• Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Nut Butter) is obtained from the fruit of the karité tree. Shea butter has a long tradition as a care and healing agent. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and beta-carotene, the butter protects against environmental stress, binds moisture, fights free radicals, promotes cell regeneration, and makes skin and hair soft and supple.
• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) – supports the synthesis of lipids and ceramides essential for the skin’s barrier function. Improves skin texture and evens out uneven skin tone. Helps with hyperpigmentation and redness. Niacinamide can also reduce excess sebum production. By balancing sebum production, pores appear smaller and less “stretched.” Due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, niacinamide can also positively influence inflammation and moderate acne.
• Cardamom (Elettaria Cardamomum / Amomum Subulatum) promotes circulation and has mood-enhancing effects. The spice is rich in vitamin C and acts as a powerful antioxidant. Cardamom opens pores; its astringent and antiseptic effects combat acne and pimples. It tightens and tones the skin. Cardamom belongs to the ginger family. There are two main types, green and black. The green variety is also known as true cardamom.
