The blue butterfly pea is considered an important medicinal plant in Ayurveda. It is attributed with a variety of healing effects.
The plant is also known as Blue Clitoria (Clitoria ternatea) or butterfly pea and is native to Southeast Asia and Africa. It is often used for tea preparations. In traditional medicine, the butterfly pea is said to support the balance of the nervous system, improve memory performance, reduce stress, and alleviate anxiety and depression. In general, clitoria has a calming effect and is also used for sleep disorders.
Additionally, the plant’s antioxidant properties are especially emphasized. The flowers are also said to strengthen the eyes and hair, delay hair graying, and reduce wrinkle formation.

The butterfly pea is also used in devotional ceremonies to symbolize protection, love, and peace. It is associated with the powerful Hindu goddess Aparajita (her name means "the undefeated"). The rich blue color is used as a natural dye. When combined with water and an acidic ingredient, such as lemon, the color changes from blue to violet. Try it—it’s truly amazing! Its flowers resemble the female clitoris, which is the origin of the Latin name Clitoria.
Usage
- Add 1/4 teaspoon to your favorite tea, lemonade, meal, bath, face mask, and more.

As soon as your order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. After handover to DHL, the shipping time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.
The shipping costs 4.95€; for orders over 60€, we offer free shipping within Germany.
International orders are shipped depending on the destination country and package size with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium. Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we provide a return label for 5.95€ upon request. Returns from abroad must be organized and paid for by the customer.
We package carefully, lovingly, and environmentally friendly. The box, filling material, and greeting card are made from recycled paper, and even the packing tape can be disposed of in the paper recycling bin.
