The Calm tea blend is a delicious herbal tea designed to promote relaxation and a sense of lightness during stressful times.

This formula was originally created as a donation-based community tea to help with various difficult situations in 2020. These included support for BIPOC communities, the protests around Black Lives Matter, job losses, and more. Due to high demand for the tea blend, it has become a permanent part of the Anima Mundi Apothecary! During the Black Lives Matter protests, the brand donated over 2,000 tea bags to charitable causes.

Usage

• Put about 1 tablespoon into a cup of hot water. Let steep for 5-10 minutes, strain, and enjoy the warmth.
• Add (plant-based) milk or sweetener of your choice if desired to make an especially cozy cup of magic.
• Store the container in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct contact with very bright light or sunlight, as this could damage the product.

• Ashwagandha is an Ayurvedic herb valued for its adaptogenic properties. It is classified as a Rasayana, a special category of master plants known for powerfully rejuvenating mind, body, and soul. It is mainly used as a calming agent, relieving anxiety, nervousness, and stress, helping to combat depression, and even supporting brain function.
• Chamomile: A historic herb used as a remedy by all ancient civilizations. Chamomile is known to calm the nervous system, help with anxiety and tense muscles, and promote restful sleep. It is also used to soothe skin irritations, rashes, and nerve damage.
• Rose petals have been used for centuries for their healing effects on body, mind, and soul. Rose offers many benefits: often used as a mood enhancer to activate the mind. Physically, it soothes the lungs, skin, and throat, helps with infections, can relieve headaches, and promotes healing of cuts, scars, and burns.

• The term adaptogen was coined by Russian doctor and scientist Nikolai V. Lazarev. It encompasses a wide variety of plants from around the world. For thousands of years, such adaptogens have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Indian Ayurveda. Adaptogens are plant compounds, often herbs, roots, or mushrooms, that help the body cope with stress factors. These include Schisandra, Eleuthero, Panax Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Maca, and medicinal mushrooms like Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, or Reishi. As the name suggests, adaptogens work by helping the body “adapt,” or adjust.
