Eco by Sonya’s popular Coconut Body Milk has received an update: The new Body Milk nourishes with the proven base of organic aloe vera, plant-based glycerin, coconut and avocado oils, enhanced with rich cocoa and shea butters as well as apricot kernel oil. How to use

• Apply to clean, dry skin in the morning and/or evening and massage in gently. Reapply to dry areas of skin as needed.
• Especially pleasant immediately after showering, while the skin still retains some moisture.
• For even richer care, mix two drops of Glory Oil with the Body Milk.
• The Body Milk is also suitable as complementary care alongside Eco by Sonya’s self-tanners. Regular moisturizing helps keep the skin supple and allows the tan to fade more evenly.
• Before applying a self-tanner such as Invisible Tan, particularly dry areas such as the knees, elbows and ankles can be moisturized with a thin layer.

Active ingredients

• Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice / Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract) is obtained from the water-rich leaves of the desert plant. Depending on processing and concentration, the inner leaf gel contains, among other things, moisture-binding polysaccharides, amino acids, minerals, enzymes and antioxidant plant compounds. Aloe vera intensely hydrates the skin and helps retain water in the horny layer. The plant juice forms a lightweight film on the skin, reduces feelings of tightness and supports the skin’s natural barrier. Its cooling and soothing properties alleviate visible redness and provide rapid relief for overheated, irritated or sun-stressed skin. Aloe vera is therefore particularly suitable for dehydrated, sensitive and irritation-prone skin, as well as for after-sun or after-shave products.
• Glycerin (Glycerin), also known as glycerol, is a natural component of the skin and one of the most proven moisturizers in cosmetics. The sugar alcohol has a strong ability to attract water and bind it in the horny layer. This increases the skin’s moisture content, reduces dryness and creates a smoother, softer and more elastic skin surface. It also supports the natural barrier function and the even shedding of dead skin cells. Particularly dry, sensitive or stressed skin affected by cleansing and environmental factors benefits from glycerin-containing formulations. In creams, glycerin is often combined with replenishing lipids that help preserve the bound moisture in the skin over the long term.
• Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera Oil) is a solid plant oil with a high proportion of lauric acid and other medium-chain fatty acids. It forms a protective lipid film, reduces water loss and makes dry, rough skin soft and supple. Virgin coconut oil also has antioxidant and inflammation-modulating properties and can support the barrier function of stressed skin. In hair care, coconut oil penetrates the hair fiber comparatively well, reduces protein loss and protects lengths and ends from dryness and breakage. It also reliably dissolves makeup and oil-soluble residue when used as a cleansing oil. However, pure coconut oil is not always ideal for very oily facial skin or skin prone to clogged pores.
• Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter) is obtained from the seeds of the cacao tree. The plant butter, which is solid at room temperature, primarily contains stearic acid, oleic acid and palmitic acid, as well as naturally occurring tocopherols and phytosterols. It melts on contact with the skin, spreads smoothly and forms a rich protective film. This smooths dry and rough skin, supplements the natural lipid film and reduces the evaporation of existing moisture. Cocoa butter gives balms, lip care products and body butters firmness, glide and a velvety skin feel. It is particularly suitable for dry, chapped skin stressed by cold weather or frequent washing, as well as for dry hair lengths.
• Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil) is obtained from the kernels of ripe apricots. The lightweight plant oil contains a high proportion of oleic acid and linoleic acid, as well as naturally occurring tocopherols. The fatty acids smooth the skin’s surface and supplement the lipids in the natural protective mantle. Apricot kernel oil therefore helps reduce moisture loss and makes dry or rough skin soft and supple. It spreads easily and leaves the skin feeling velvety and cared for. Apricot kernel oil is particularly suitable for dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin, as well as for care products designed to protect the skin from drying out. In hair care products, it smooths the hair surface and gives dry lengths greater suppleness and shine.
• Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) is obtained from the kernels of the fruits of the West African shea tree. It primarily consists of stearic acid and oleic acid and contains an unsaponifiable fraction with phytosterols, triterpenes and tocopherols. The solid plant butter melts on the skin, forms a supple protective film and helps reduce transepidermal water loss. This makes dry, rough or cracked areas of skin softer and more elastic. Its soothing and inflammation-modulating accompanying compounds also support sensitive and stressed skin. Shea butter is particularly suitable for lips, hands, body care and skin with a weakened barrier. In hair products, it smooths dry lengths, tames frizz and protects ends from further drying out.
• Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima Oil) is obtained from the fruit pulp and has a range of different care benefits. Avocado oil is a rich plant oil with a high proportion of oleic acid. Depending on the production method, it also contains linoleic acid, tocopherols, phytosterols and carotenoids. It supplements the lipids in the natural protective mantle, reduces moisture loss and makes dry, rough or flaky skin soft and supple. The fruit extract provides moisture, soothes stressed skin and smooths a rough skin surface. Avocado is therefore particularly suitable for dry, mature, sensitive or barrier-compromised skin. This rich care helps soften fine lines caused by dryness and supports a smoother, more elastic-looking complexion. In hair care, avocado oil forms a protective layer around the hair fiber, smooths the cuticle and reduces friction. This makes dry and brittle lengths more supple, easier to comb and shinier. Existing structural damage cannot be permanently repaired, but the hair is protected from further drying and breakage.
• Vitamin E refers to a group of fat-soluble antioxidants; in cosmetics, tocopherol and tocopheryl acetate are primarily used. Tocopherol helps protect skin lipids and formulation oils from oxidative breakdown and supports the skin in coping with UV and environmental stress. It strengthens the lipid film, reduces moisture loss and makes dry or rough skin more supple. Its inflammation-modulating properties can soothe irritated, sun-stressed or sensitive skin. Tocopheryl acetate is more stable, but must first be converted into the active form in the skin.
• Soybean Oil (Glycine Soja Oil) is obtained from soybean seeds and primarily contains linoleic acid and oleic acid, as well as tocopherols, phytosterols and other antioxidant compounds. The fatty acids supplement the natural lipid film, reduce moisture loss and make dry or rough skin more supple. Varieties particularly rich in linoleic acid can provide valuable support for a weakened skin barrier. The lightweight oil spreads easily and is suitable for facial, body and hair care. In hair lengths, it improves shine and combability. However, soybean oil does not automatically have a tightening effect; its primary benefit lies in replenishing, smoothing and barrier-supporting care.
