The Ginkgo Micellar Cleanser by Ere Perez rethinks micellar water: Instead of transporting water around the world, the cleanser comes as a concentrated tablet. One tablet is dissolved in 100 ml of water and transforms within a few hours into a gentle micellar water for daily facial cleansing.

The lightweight no-rinse formula removes makeup, sunscreen and daily residue without drying out the skin or leaving it feeling tight. It was specially developed for sensitive skin and the delicate eye area, making it equally suitable for quick evening cleansing or as the first or second step in double cleansing.

How to use

• Place one cleansing tablet into the reusable bottle.
• Fill with 100 ml of water.
• Allow to dissolve completely for at least 4–6 hours.

• Rinsing is not necessary.

• In chemistry, micelles are an accumulation of elongated (surfactant) molecules that are non-polar (water-repellent) on one side and polar (water-friendly) on the other. When these small particles are added to polar water, they combine into small spheres called micelles. Micelles are therefore simply an accumulation of surfactant molecules—in other words, soap molecules. They are bipolar, meaning that they attract oil-based makeup like a magnet and enclose it within themselves. This has the benefit that almost no rubbing or scrubbing is needed for cleansing: The micelles penetrate deep into the layers of the skin and, so to speak, absorb the dirt.
• Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract) has been known as a medicinal herb since antiquity and is a powerful adaptogen from TCM. Ginkgo is rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals and may reduce the signs of premature skin aging. Ginkgo also has anti-inflammatory, cleansing and sun-protective properties and is a rich source of vitamin E.
• The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects of cinnamon (Cinnamomum (Cinnamon) Cassia Bark Extract) can help address blemishes, pimples and blackheads and refine the appearance of pores. The spice’s anti-inflammatory properties are said to help soothe acne and redness and reduce excessive oil production. Cinnamon also contains vitamin C and is said to help combat premature skin aging while providing a gentle brightening and tone-evening effect.
• Clary sage (Salvia Sclarea) is known for its relaxing, antifungal and sweat-regulating properties. Clary sage is used to combat skin blemishes, particularly hormonal acne. It is ideal for oily, acne-prone skin with excess sebum. Clary sage is a close relative of common sage; it has a tart, spicy fragrance with a slight citrus note.
