Why is the Oxymel recipe special?

Oxymel combines the best of all three ingredients: the old home remedy apple cider vinegar, pure acacia honey from Brandenburg, and the powerful taste of uncultivated wild herbs. Honey and apple cider vinegar extract the ingredients from the herbs and preserve them for years. This way, the herbs can be enjoyed without additives or industrial processing. And with the refreshing taste of an herbal lemonade.

Can I consume more than one tablespoon of Oxymel per day?

Of course! You can determine your wild herb dose as you like, whether one serving a day or several! For a 15-day course, 150ml of Oxymel is enough. For one and a half months, our 500ml bottle. We recommend not taking the same Oxymel variety for more than 6 weeks in a row. After a one-week break, you can start again. This prevents tolerance. Or simply switch seamlessly to the next variety!

Why do you use wild herbs?

Wild herbs have been used for thousands of years because they are flavorful and beneficial. We want to continue this tradition with Kruut. We find it absurd to fly "superfoods" around the world when they grow right outside our door. Ingredients

Naturally cloudy apple cider vinegar is an ancient fermented home remedy. We use it in its most natural, unpasteurized form.

Raw honey sourced from ethical beekeeping in Brandenburg. It still contains all its valuable substances and naturally preserves the wild herbs.

Lemon balm smells and tastes wonderfully of lemon. In the Middle Ages, it was mandated to be grown in every monastery garden. We understand why!

Oat herb is actually the well-known green cereal plant, but used for a completely different purpose. The above-ground parts of the oats are harvested just before full bloom.

Valerian root is harvested from September. The freshly dug roots are washed and roughly chopped before being placed in our barrels.

Spruce shoots are the young tips of spruce branches. They have a lighter color than the rest of the needles. A good mnemonic: “The spruce stings, the fir does not.”

The sugar content is purely natural from the high-quality honey. Per serving, one tablespoon with a glass of water contains only 4.6g. Much less than, for example, a glass of apple spritzer.
