The dermaroller features hundreds of tiny needles arranged on a roller, which is gently rolled over the facial skin. The fine microneedles of the dermaroller create a controlled and virtually painless micro-injury to the skin. Targeted use of the dermaroller can significantly increase the content of collagen types I, III, and VII, newly synthesized collagen, and tropoelastin. This collagen induction can lead to an overall more youthful appearance with fewer fine lines and wrinkles, smaller pore size, and increased smoothness and elasticity.
Microneedling can be applied to the entire body to improve skin texture, reduce scars, and diminish discolorations. Even areas usually considered “no-go zones,” such as the delicate skin around the eyes, can be treated carefully with microneedling. The needle treatment is also well suited for deeper skin areas, such as acne scars.
Usage
- It is best to use the dermaroller in the evening before going to bed on clean, dry skin.
- Thoroughly disinfect the dermaroller before and after each treatment. Spray the roller with rubbing alcohol and rinse with boiling water. Then let the roller dry completely and replace the protective cap.
- For simplicity, divide the face into four areas: right cheek, left cheek, chin, and forehead. Now roll the dermaroller 2-3 times up and down or side to side with light pressure. Then lift the roller off the skin, reposition it, change direction, and roll 2-3 times again. Repeat this a few times before moving to the next facial area.
- Avoid lips and eyelids.
- Afterwards, apply toner and moisturizer. For example, use the Wild Rose Botanical Mist followed by the Bakuchiol Serum or the Wild Plum Serum.
- The treatment only takes a few minutes and can be repeated 2-3 times per week with the 0.3 mm dermal roller.
- Use the dermal roller with 0.5 mm needles once per week.
- This larger roller increases the absorption of your potent serum by up to 40% PLUS stimulates collagen and elastin production, reduces acne scars, and light scarring.
- Note: Do not use the roller if you have sensitive, easily scarred, or reactive skin. Do not use the tool on active acne, as it can spread bacteria and cause infections. Please consult your dermatologist if you suffer from melasma, as microneedling can often improve this condition but sometimes worsen it. If you have special concerns, we recommend consulting your dermatologist first.
- Clean the roller after each use and do not share it with others.
- Rinse with cold water.
- Spray the roller with rubbing alcohol or colloidal silver.
- Rinse with freshly boiled water (to ensure no alcohol remains on the roller).
- Let the roller dry and then place it in its case to protect the needles.
