Purifying Cleansing Gel

The refreshing Purifying Cleansing Gel effortlessly removes dirt and excess oil from your skin without causing tightness. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory botanical extracts, this cleansing gel is perfect for oily skin, combination skin, and skin prone to blemishes.

The clarifying formula with Aloe Vera, witch hazel, and tea tree oil cleanses thoroughly, while soothing plant extracts from willowherb, wild carrot, green tea, and ginger provide a balanced skin feel.

Additionally, the Purifying Cleansing Gel contains extracts of carrageenan and grapes, which are rich in antioxidants and protect the skin from harmful environmental influences and premature aging. Both extracts contribute to improving skin elasticity and moisture content. Papaya, on the other hand, contains the gently exfoliating enzyme papain, which removes dead skin cells and cleanses pores, while papaya juice also provides intensive hydration, supports regeneration, and promotes skin elasticity.

Application

• Apply the Purifying Cleansing Gel daily in the morning and evening to damp face, neck, and décolleté.
• Gently massage in circular motions and then rinse off with lukewarm water.
• Tip: The cleansing gel foams excellently with a sea sponge and is therefore ideal for wet shaving.

Active Ingredients

• Aloe Vera Juice (Aloe Barbadensis Juice) provides natural moisture, prevents skin dryness, and strengthens the natural skin barrier. Aloe Vera contains vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and essential amino acids. It supplies the skin with oxygen and is considered effective in supporting cell renewal. It binds moisture, has cooling, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial effects.
• Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) leaf is a member of the mint family and is known as a calming herb. The plant was already used in the Middle Ages to reduce stress and restlessness, promote sleep, increase appetite, and relieve discomfort from digestive disorders. Studies have shown that lemon balm can help reduce anxiety symptoms by improving mood and lowering stress hormone levels. Additionally, there is evidence that lemon balm improves cognitive functions and reduces feelings of stress and tension.
• Green tea extract (Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract) is distilled from the leaves of the tea plant. Green tea has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps fight acne and breakouts, cleanses, and promotes a clear complexion. It is used to combat premature skin and hair aging, promotes pore reduction, and makes the skin look fresher. Green tea also has a soothing effect, can reduce redness and irritation, and relieve itching.
• Witch hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Extract) – witch hazel leaf extract is made from the leaves and bark of the shrub. It supports the removal of excess oil, is anti-inflammatory, and balances the skin’s pH. Known to reduce acne and tighten the skin. Natural healing properties for a clearer complexion.
• Glycerin – the sugar alcohol is part of the body’s own moisture system. Lipids (fats) in the skin are made up of glycerin and fatty acids. Glycerin has a hydrating effect and helps prevent water loss. It also stabilizes the skin’s barrier function.
• Carrageenan (Chondrus Crispus Extract) is a red algae species from the North Atlantic and offers numerous benefits in skincare. It provides intense moisture, soothes skin irritations and redness, and forms a protective film that shields the skin from environmental influences. It also contains antioxidants that help fight free radicals and slow premature skin aging.
• Zinc lactate (Zinc Lactate) – a salt of lactic acid containing zinc – acts antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory to effectively combat skin impurities. Furthermore, it supports the regulation of sebum production and helps refine the skin’s appearance, leading to clearer and more balanced skin.
• Papaya juice (Carica Papaya Fruit Juice) is rich in vitamin C, supports collagen production, and firms the skin. The antioxidants it contains, such as beta-carotene and vitamin A, fight free radicals and improve complexion. Additionally, the natural enzyme content, especially the enzyme papain, provides gentle exfoliation, removes dead skin cells, and cleanses pores. • Grape extract (Vitis Vinifera Fruit / Skin Extract) is a powerful antioxidant that can counteract premature skin aging. • The valuable tea tree oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil) is obtained – like most essential oils – by steam distillation. Tea tree oil is antiseptic and has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Especially for pimples, blemishes, and inflammatory skin problems such as acne, tea tree oil fights the causes and can relieve symptoms. The evergreen tea tree originates from Australia.
• Essential thyme oil (Thymus Zygis Oil) – obtained by steam distillation of thyme flowers and leaves, this oil is a true blessing for skin and respiratory tract. Thyme oil is not only antiseptic but also helps relieve cold and flu symptoms through inhalation. In skincare, it proves to be an effective aid in dealing with acne and skin infections due to its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, diluted in a carrier oil, the oil can effectively relieve muscle pain and joint discomfort.
