The Bakuchiol Cell Regenerating Serum is one of Wildcrafted Organics’ most intensive facial care products. The water-free formula combines Bakuchiol with 10% Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Coenzyme Q10, and DPHP with an unusually rich blend of cacay, rosehip, marula, buriti, and sea buckthorn oils.

At the center is Bakuchiol – a plant-based active ingredient often used as a gentle alternative to retinol. It may help reduce the appearance of fine lines and pigmentation and make the skin look smoother and more even. Unlike retinol, Bakuchiol is not chemically a retinoid and is generally very well tolerated.

In addition, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, an oil-soluble, highly bioavailable, and particularly stable form of vitamin C. Wildcrafted Organics uses it here at a comparatively high concentration of 10%. It complements the formula’s antioxidant effect and is particularly beneficial for dull, sun-exposed skin and an uneven skin tone.

How to use

• Warm a few drops between your fingertips in the morning and/or evening.
• Gently press or massage into the face, neck, and décolleté.
• Apply to slightly damp skin or after a moisturizing serum or facial mist.
• As part of a Wildcrafted Organics routine, apply the Wild Rose Botanical Mist first, followed by the Wild Plum Illumination C Complex if needed, and then the Bakuchiol Serum.

Active ingredients

• Bakuchiol / Bakuchi seed oil is extracted from the seeds and leaves of the Indian plant Psoralea Corylifolia and is considered a natural retinol alternative. A powerful plant for treating skin discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and leukoderma. With antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, bakuchi supports the skin’s natural tone and helps normalize individual skin pigmentation. Bakuchiol has been shown to stimulate collagen production, minimize wrinkles and fine lines, and improve the skin’s texture and firmness. The active ingredient has a long tradition as a medicinal plant in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Unlike traditional retinoids, it does not cause skin burning, irritation, or redness.
• Cacay oil (Caryodendron Orinocense Seed Oil) is extracted from the nuts of Cacay trees in Colombia. Cacay oil is a lightweight, fast-absorbing oil with a high content of antioxidants, vitamins, and essential fatty acids. The pleasantly nutty-scented oil has powerful cell-regenerating properties; it contains approximately 50% more vitamin E than argan oil and three times more vitamin A than rosehip oil. Its high concentration of linoleic acid helps effectively combat pimples, inflammation, and skin conditions. A powerful combination of active ingredients for healthy skin.
• Sea buckthorn seed oil (Hippophae rhamnoides fruit / seed oil) is an excellent source of vitamin A, which boosts cell turnover and promotes the regeneration of skin cells. The concentration of vitamin C in this powerful oil provides antioxidant protection, strengthens collagen in the skin, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and photoaging.
• Coenzyme Q10 – a small-molecule antioxidant that can penetrate deep into skin cells. It has anti-inflammatory, regenerating, and skin-repairing properties. It inhibits collagen breakdown and reduces skin damage caused by free radicals.
• Squalane or squalane oil (Squalane) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, non-greasy oil that leaves the skin silky smooth. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents the oxidation of the skin's own lipids. This regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, softens the skin, and promotes oxygenation and cell regeneration. 
• Amino acids (Dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline) keep your skin supple. Due to their small size, they penetrate the skin easily and help transport moisture through the skin. They support the production of collagen and elastin and protect the skin from free radicals. Some amino acids act as antioxidants themselves, but most amino acids support the skin in producing its own antioxidants.
• Essential neroli oil – Neroli is extracted from the white blossoms of the bitter orange tree. Neroli oil supports cell regeneration and improves elasticity while reducing acne and scars. In aromatherapy, neroli has a grounding and relaxing effect and may help alleviate anxiety and insomnia.
• Echinacea / purple coneflower – Echinacea is best known for protecting against colds and flu-like infections. However, echinacea also supports wound healing and has decongestant and anti-inflammatory properties. It has a healing effect on skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis and rosacea.
• Indian pennywort / tiger grass / gotu kola (Centella Asiatica Extract) – In Ayurvedic medicine, Indian pennywort is also known as “tiger grass” and is considered one of the most important medicinal plants. According to legend, wounded tigers roll around in the plant’s leaves to promote wound healing. Tiger grass has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and regenerative effects on the skin. The plant promotes wound healing and collagen production. Tiger grass has proven particularly beneficial for mature skin because it stimulates circulation.
• Vitamin C is a very powerful antioxidant involved in various enzymatic processes. Among other things, it promotes collagen synthesis, acts as a free-radical scavenger, and protects the skin from oxidative stress. Vitamin C helps even out skin tone and promotes a smooth, radiant complexion. Vitamin C can reduce sun damage and pigmentation spots and combat inflammation and skin irritation.

FAQ

Is bakuchiol the same as retinol?
No. Bakuchiol is not chemically a retinoid. However, the plant-based active ingredient influences some similar processes in the skin and is therefore often referred to as a natural or plant-based retinol alternative. Its generally good tolerability is particularly noteworthy.

Can I use the Bakuchiol Serum in the morning?
Yes. Bakuchiol can be used both in the morning and evening and does not make the skin photosensitive in the same way as retinoids. Regardless, we always recommend using suitable sun protection during the day – especially for pigmentation and sun-exposed skin.

Is the serum also suitable for sensitive skin?
Bakuchiol itself is considered well tolerated. However, the formula also contains neroli and immortelle essential oils, among other ingredients. We therefore recommend testing the serum on a small area of skin first if your skin is very sensitive or reactive.

Can I combine the serum with vitamin C?
Yes – vitamin C is already an important part of the formula. The serum contains 10% Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate. Wildcrafted Organics also recommends using it in combination with the Wild Plum Illuminating C Serum.
