How to Use

• Shake well before use.
• Dispense a sufficient amount of SunCoverup into your palms and apply the fluid generously and evenly to face and neck 15 minutes before sun exposure, blending well for seamless coverage.

Active Ingredients

• Peptides are small proteins made up of several amino acids. There are many different peptides that perform various functions in the body. They are involved in regulating cell growth and repair and the formation of (larger) proteins such as keratin, elastin, or collagen. This makes them a valuable and well-tolerated ingredient in skincare to combat premature skin aging, fine lines, and sagging structures. Some peptides also have anti-inflammatory properties and help reduce blemishes like pimples and blackheads.
• Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) supports the synthesis of lipids and ceramides essential for the skin’s barrier function. It improves skin texture and evens out uneven skin tone. The vitamin also helps with hyperpigmentation and redness. Niacinamide can regulate sebum production and reduce overproduction. This makes pores appear smaller and less “stretched.” Due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, niacinamide can also positively affect inflammation and moderate acne.
• Squalane or squalane oil is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by the skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of the skin’s natural fats. This regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil. For cosmetics, squalene is converted into squalane. Squalane contains no unsaturated bonds and is therefore oxidation-resistant and longer-lasting. By the way, squalane was originally obtained from shark liver, hence the name. Squalus is the Latin name for shark.
• Zinc Oxide is a white pigment found in nature. Zinc oxide is common in skincare; it acts against pathogens and inflammation and promotes wound healing. Zinc oxide is also a mineral UV filter that protects the skin from harmful UVB and UVA rays. Mineral filters are small particles that reflect sunlight. The UV blocker is photostable, so it does not break down under UV radiation and maintains its protective effect for a longer time.
• Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) – The high fatty acid content makes skin soft, supple, and resilient. The oil has antibacterial properties, absorbs quickly, and contains vitamins B, E, minerals, and beta-carotene (provitamin A). It strengthens cell development and renewal, fights skin aging, and strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier. Also very suitable for hair and scalp care. By the way, jojoba oil is technically not an oil but a plant wax.
• Calendula (Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil / Extract) from the Asteraceae family is especially known for its anti-inflammatory, soothing, and wound-healing effects. It also promotes collagen production and helps generate new tissue (an important process in wound healing), and carotenoids strengthen the skin’s protective barrier. Very well tolerated, also suitable for baby skin. Secondary plant substances, called flavonoids, act as antioxidants and protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
• Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) has strong antibacterial effects and fights germs, bacteria, and viruses on the skin. Well suited for problematic skin. Turmeric also promotes circulation and regulates sebum production.
• Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a staple of Ayurveda and is also called “Indian ginseng.” Ashwagandha is known for its ability to calm, soothe, and strengthen the body. It can support various processes in the body, strengthen the immune system, and support cognitive, hormonal, and neurological systems. The adaptogen supports collagen production, has strong antioxidant properties, and acts antimicrobial and antibacterial. Adaptogenic herbs and plants help keep our organism in balance.
