The Deep Purifying Serum from TEAM DR JOSEPH is an intensive yet pleasantly lightweight treatment for blemished, oily, enlarged-pore and acne-prone skin. Glycolic acid and papaya support the removal of dead skin cells and help unclog pores. The skin appears smoother, clearer, and more refined.

Rose myrtle, beard lichen, zinc PCA, and tea tree oil complement the formula with clarifying and sebum-regulating properties. At the same time, Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, and Sodium PCA ensure that the skin remains sufficiently moisturized despite the active ingredients.

• Glycolic Acid & Papaya – Glycolic acid belongs to the alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) and supports the removal of dead skin cells. Papaya complements the exfoliating care with natural fruit-derived ingredients. Together, they help clarify clogged pores and promote a smoother, more refined skin texture.
• Rose Myrtle, Beard Lichen & Zinc PCA – Rose myrtle extract is specifically used in skincare for blemished and oily skin. Sodium Usnate from beard lichen and Zinc PCA complement the formula with clarifying, antimicrobial, and sebum-regulating properties, helping promote a more balanced complexion.

Application

• Apply to the face and neck in the morning and/or evening after cleansing, and gently pat in.
• Then apply a suitable face cream.
• According to TEAM DR JOSEPH, those with oily skin can also use the serum on its own in the evening.
• Due to the glycolic acid it contains, make sure to use adequate sun protection during the day.
• For hygienic reasons, do not let the dropper come into direct contact with the skin.
  

Active ingredients

• Papaya (Carica Papaya (Papaya) Seed Oil) – its high vitamin C content supports collagen production and thus helps firm the skin. Beta-carotene and vitamins A and E are powerful antioxidants that combat free radicals and improve the complexion. Enzymes dissolve dead skin cells and refine the skin's appearance. Papaya contains the enzyme papain, which helps gently exfoliate the skin naturally to remove dead skin cells and cleanse the pores. Papaya also helps moisturize and regenerate the skin while improving its elasticity. Its abundance of vitamin C helps brighten and even out the skin tone.
• False myrtle (Rhodomyrtus Tomentosa Fruit Extract), also known as Japanese myrtle, regulates sebum production and can reduce the occurrence of blemishes and blackheads. Myrtle unclogs pores and soothes irritated and inflamed skin. It also provides moisture.
• Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid with very small molecules. It removes dead cells and reveals brighter, fresher skin. It helps treat scars, discoloration, signs of skin aging, as well as fine lines and wrinkles.
• Burdock root extract (Arctium Lappa Root Extract) regulates sebum production in skin care and helps balance oily, blemish-prone skin. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, it can help prevent skin blemishes and visibly clarify the complexion. At the same time, it has a soothing effect and supports skin regeneration without drying it out. In hair care, burdock root strengthens the scalp, supports hair growth, and helps prevent dandruff.
• Comfrey root (Symphytum Officinale Root / Leaf Extract), also known as wallwort, knitbone, or black root, is widespread in Europe and belongs to the borage family. Comfrey has been used in herbal medicine since ancient times. In skin and hair care, comfrey is primarily used for inflamed and sensitive skin; the plant has strongly cell-regenerating and soothing properties and supports the formation of new tissue. Comfrey relieves pain, promotes circulation, and is used to treat wounds, venous disorders, bruises, and contusions. The root contains allantoin, mucilage, tannins, rosmarinic acid, and alkaloids.
• The valuable tea tree oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil)—like most essential oils—is obtained through steam distillation. Tea tree oil has antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Especially in the case of pimples, blemishes, and inflammatory skin problems such as acne, tea tree oil combats the causes and can alleviate symptoms.
