Active Ingredients

• Bakuchiol / Bakuchisamenöl (Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia) Seed Oil) is extracted from the seeds and leaves of the Indian plant Psoralea Corylifolia and is considered a natural retinol alternative. A powerful plant for treating skin discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and leukoderma. With antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, Bakuchi promotes the natural skin tone and helps normalize individual skin pigmentation. Bakuchiol has been shown to stimulate collagen production, minimize fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin texture and firmness. The active ingredient has a long tradition as a medicinal plant in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Unlike traditional retinoids, it does not cause skin burning, irritation, or redness.
• Butterfly bush extract (Buddleja Officinalis Flower Extract) can protect the skin from the harmful effects of blue light. It acts like a shield and blocks not only blue light but also infrared and UV light. Furthermore, the active ingredient strengthens the skin barrier and elasticity by stimulating elastin production.
• Paracress or Jambu (Spilanthes Acmella) is a South American plant rich in spilanthol. As a natural Botox (phyto-Botox), spilanthol acts as a muscle relaxant and skin tightener even at low concentrations. Small wrinkles can thus be visibly smoothed and softened. The active ingredient stimulates the supporting network of the dermis (fibroblasts) and thereby provides more firmness and elasticity. Additionally, paracress is used as a skin-strengthening ingredient to protect against external influences.
• Squalane or squalane oil (Squalane) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves the skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents the oxidation of the skin's own fats. The regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil. For cosmetics, squalene is converted into squalane. Squalane contains no unsaturated compounds anymore and is therefore oxidation-resistant and longer-lasting. By the way, squalane was originally derived from shark liver, hence the name. Squalus is the Latin name for shark.
• Ceramides are lipids (fats) that naturally occur in our skin. They form the foundation of our skin's barrier function. The skin barrier ensures that no harmful substances penetrate the skin and that the skin remains well hydrated. A functioning skin barrier is essential for healthy skin. Ceramides reduce water loss from the skin, also called TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss), protect against environmental stressors, bacteria, and other influences the skin is exposed to. Ceramides are therefore an effective anti-aging ingredient that also helps keep the skin smooth and soft.
• Coffee Seed Oil / Extract (Coffea Arabica / Robusta Seed Oil / Extract (coffee beans)) is obtained from green, unroasted coffee beans. With its high content of linoleic acid, polyphenols, sterols, and vitamin E, coffee seeds combat free radicals and signs of premature skin aging. Coffee seed oil / extract moisturizes, strengthens the natural barrier function of our skin, and is an effective stimulant for the synthesis of collagen and elastin. • Plum Kernel Oil (Prunus domestica seed oil) contains powerful anti-aging active ingredients and can improve the body's own production of collagen and elastin. They also stimulate cell renewal, strengthen the skin's protective barrier, and protect the skin from moisture loss. The gentle oil has a silky-soft texture and smells of fine marzipan.

• Hyaluronic Acid (Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate) retains moisture up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid is a main component of connective tissue, it fills and supports the connective tissue. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, it is responsible for the skin's moisture content. Hyaluronic acid also promotes skin firmness and elasticity. As we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid, which is one of the main causes of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid helps to fill in fine lines and plump the skin. The mix makes the difference – a combination of different types of hyaluronic acid is beneficial for the skin. High and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid have different molecular sizes and can therefore positively affect various aspects and layers of the skin. High molecular weight hyaluronic acid remains on the skin surface and has a rather short-term effect but has anti-inflammatory properties and creates a moisture film on the skin. Small and medium molecular sizes penetrate different layers of the skin. They are stored in the connective tissue and have a regenerating, longer-lasting moisturizing effect.
