With this vegan massage brush made from 100% pure plant-based sisal fibers, you can brush all areas of the body especially intensively. Sisal bristles are naturally a bit firmer, providing an extra invigorating massage.

The sisal fibers of the Vegan Dry Brush from ruhi are derived from the leaves of the Mexican agave plant. Sisal is naturally hard. However, ruhi’s extra-long cut ensures that the brush—compared to other natural fiber brushes—is still pleasant on the skin.

Why dry brushing?

Dry brushing is an ancient Ayurvedic healing method that offers numerous positive effects for your well-being and health:

The ritual

Dry brushing, also called Gharsana, is an important part of the millennia-old Indian healing science Ayurveda. The goal of dry brushing in Ayurveda is to move lymph fluid toward the heart. This is intended to direct stored toxins and metabolic waste to the liver and kidneys for elimination.

Dry brushing also plays an important role in German health traditions. The treatment was popularized by the famous healer Sebastian Kneipp in the 19th century. Regular dry brushing was mainly intended to prevent colds and infectious diseases.

How to use

• Preparation: Use the Vegan Dry Brush on dry skin, ideally in the morning before showering. Start the dry brushing massage on the body parts farthest from the heart. Use light, even strokes to slowly work toward the center of the body.
• Repeat the following steps 3–5 times each. Just three minutes of dry brushing per day is enough to boost your energy level.
• Legs: Start the massage at the feet and brush upward toward the lower legs. From there, continue to the thighs and up to the buttocks.
• Arms: Start on the back of the hands and brush upward along the arms to the shoulders.
• Abdomen & back: Brush the abdomen in circular clockwise motions following the path of the intestines. Then massage the back in circular motions over the sides.
• Done! Now shower to remove skin flakes. Afterwards, apply your favorite body oil and enjoy your renewed energy and silky smooth skin.

• Cleaning: After each use, tap the brush on a hard, flat surface to remove skin flakes. The brush is not suitable for cleaning with water. Store the brush in a dry place. Do not store near heat sources.
