• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter) is obtained from the fruit of the shea tree. Shea butter has a long tradition as a care and healing agent. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and beta-carotene, the butter protects against environmental stress, binds moisture, fights free radicals, promotes cell regeneration, and makes skin and hair soft and supple.
• Flaxseed oil/extract (Linum Usitatissimum (Flax) Seed Extract/Oil) – The high omega-3 content of the oil has anti-inflammatory effects and can suppress outbreaks and soothe irritated, dry skin. The oil locks in moisture and keeps the skin hydrated and healthy, which can help firm the skin. It is also credited with cell-regenerating properties. In hair care, flaxseed nourishes hair follicles, promotes hair growth, and improves hair elasticity. It combats dry and flaky scalp.
• Hydrolyzed wheat protein is obtained by hydrolysis from wheat protein.
