- Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is a vital mushroom that most commonly grows on tree trunks in northern regions. Among the indigenous peoples of North America, Chaga is brewed as a peace and welcome drink.
- Dandelion root is also a classic native alternative and was formerly consumed as Muckefuck.
This wild alternative to beans tastes mild and not as acidic as an espresso. Yet it contains roasted aromas that make it taste similar to filter coffee. The Chaga mushroom gives it a slight cocoa note.
In times of crisis, coffee was hard to obtain, so alternatives were needed. For “Muckefuck,” roots of various wild herbs and grains or barley malt and tree fruits were used. When roasted, the inulin contained transforms into oxymethylfurfural, which tastes like coffee. Without caffeine. But the nutrients and proteins from the plants remain in the drink. Usage
- Boil one measuring spoon (3g) with (plant-based) milk briefly in a pot. Froth and enjoy warm. Also ideal as a baking ingredient, in smoothies, or as a wild addition to bean coffee. Simply mix 50/50 with regular coffee for this.

We carefully process and package your order in our warehouse in Reutlingen. Processing usually takes within 48 hours. As soon as your order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. After handover to DHL, the shipping time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.

International orders are shipped depending on the destination country and package size with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium. Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we provide a return label for 5.95€ upon request. Returns from abroad must be organized and paid for by the customer.
We package carefully, lovingly, and environmentally friendly. The box, filling material, and greeting card are made from recycled paper, and even the packing tape can be disposed of in the paper recycling bin.
