The RAAW Alchemy Cleansing Silk is an award-winning all-in-one facial cleanser that removes makeup, mascara, sunscreen, and daily impurities in one skincare step. On dry skin, it has a rich, oil-based texture; when combined with water, it transforms into a silky cleansing milk that is easy to remove.

The formula combines the gentle sugar-based surfactant Sucrose Laurate with almond, kukui, evening primrose, milk thistle, and avocado oils. Cleansing Silk cleanses thoroughly while preserving the skin’s natural lipids and leaving it soft and pleasantly nourished. Blue Tansy complements the composition with its soothing properties, making the cleanser particularly suitable for normal, sensitive, and redness-prone skin.

Even heavier or waterproof makeup can be dissolved by massaging the cleanser in for a little longer. For additional intensive care, Cleansing Silk can remain on the skin for five to ten minutes before being emulsified and removed with water.

After cleansing, RAAW Alchemy Blue Drops replenish the skin with lightweight plant lipids. On dry or stressed areas of skin, RAAW Alchemy Calming Blue Balm can follow as a protective final skincare step.

RAAW Alchemy founder Trice Christiansen developed Cleansing Silk after the birth of her child: She was looking for an uncomplicated cleanser that would remove makeup and dirt in just one step while leaving the skin soft rather than dry. The manufacturer’s product number 1011 commemorates the birthday of a former employee who inspired the product’s development.

How to use

• Apply two to three pumps to dry skin and gently massage into the face and eye area.
• Dampen your fingertips with a little water and continue massaging until the texture transforms into a silky cleansing milk.
• Then remove with a warm, damp cloth or rinse thoroughly with water.
• For heavier or waterproof makeup, massage the cleanser in for a little longer.
• For a particularly nourishing cleanse, leave on for five to ten minutes, then emulsify and remove.

Active ingredients

• Almond Oil / Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis / Sweet Almond Oil) is gentle and well suited to caring for sensitive skin. Almond oil soothes irritation, replenishes lipids, and helps retain moisture. Dry, irritated, and mature skin benefit particularly from it. Almond oil leaves the skin soft and supple and is also well suited to hair care. Vitamins and its high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid, strengthen the skin barrier and provide protection.
• Milk Thistle (Silybum Marianum) is very well tolerated and contains valuable fatty acids in the form of linoleic and oleic acid, flavonoids, and proteins. Milk thistle strengthens the skin barrier, protects the skin from free radicals, and combats signs of blemishes. It also provides moisture, helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and refines the pores. Very well suited to sensitive skin. 
• Kukui Nut Oil (Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Nut Oil) has been used as a beauty oil in Hawaii for centuries. This gentle, fast-absorbing oil contains linolenic acid, linoleic acid, and vitamins A, C, and E. It soothes skin irritations, such as eczema and psoriasis, provides moisture, and strengthens the skin barrier.
• Blue Tansy (Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil) Also known as Moroccan chamomile. The word “tansy” comes from the Greek word “athanaton” and means “immortal” — Blue Tansy promotes cell regeneration. The healing properties of Blue Tansy are attributed to the azulene pigment, which gives it its distinctive blue color, soothes the skin, and reduces redness and inflammation. Blue Tansy smooths damaged capillaries and improves the firmness and elasticity of the tissue.
• Evening Primrose Oil (Oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose) oil) soothes the skin, makes it more supple, and slows moisture loss. Its high content of omega-6 fatty acids, as well as vitamins and minerals, has regenerative and healing-supporting effects. It relieves itching and helps combat neurodermatitis and psoriasis. Dry, rough, flaky, and inflamed skin particularly benefits from the oil’s nourishing properties.
