How to use

• Thoroughly cleanse the face, e.g., with the Cleansing And Purifying Black Gel.
• Apply a hazelnut-sized amount to the cleansed face and massage in.
• If you use facial mist after cleansing, apply the cream to still damp skin. This helps retain moisture and prevents evaporation.
• Note: La Canopée works with raw (unrefined) ingredients. The color and scent of each raw material can vary depending on the season and all factors involved in the cultivation and harvest of the plants. For example, buriti oil may vary in color depending on the harvest. The cream can then range from pale yellow to intense orange depending on the manufacturing process. However, it is always the same day cream and its effectiveness remains consistent!

Active ingredients

• Rooibos contains several strong antioxidant substances, especially polyphenols like aspalathin, nothofagin, quercetin, and luteolin. These antioxidants are just as effective in cosmetics as in teas. Rooibos helps soothe skin irritations such as eczema or erythema.
• Macadamia nut oil (Macadamia Integrifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil) provides intense moisture and cares especially for dry, cracked, and stressed skin. The oil smooths and regenerates the skin. The beneficial mix of unsaturated, healthy fatty acids and the high content of vitamins and trace elements have earned the macadamia nut the name "queen of nuts." Its fatty acid profile resembles our skin’s natural sebum and is therefore very well absorbed by the skin. The oil is non-comedogenic and absorbs quickly and without residue.
• Sesame oil (Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil) mainly consists of mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and oleic acid. The oil, with lecithin and vitamins E and A, removes harmful deposits from the skin and thus signs of premature skin aging. Sesame oil also has soothing effects, reduces redness, and strengthens the skin’s protective barrier.
• Algae contain a high concentration of antioxidants, trace elements like iodine, zinc, potassium, or beta-carotene, and bioactive compounds such as alginic acid, ascorbic acid, or carotenoids. These bioactive components support cell renewal and promote clear, smooth, and soft skin. Antioxidants help combat damage from free radicals, and the amino acids, vitamins, and minerals in brown seaweed stimulate elastin and collagen production.
• Buriti oil (also called Morete) is extracted from the fruits of the buriti palm (Mauritia vinifera / Mauritia flexuosa), mainly found in Brazil. Buriti oil is characterized by a high concentration of oleic acid, tocopherols (vitamin precursors), provitamin A, and carotenoids, especially a very high beta-carotene content (five times that of carrots). This nourishing oil has strong antioxidant properties, supports cell regeneration, and offers light natural protection against UV rays. The potent anti-aging oil cares for skin and hair and can normalize sebum production.
• Astringent, regenerating, healing, and antiseptic, the essential oil of bergamot (Citrus Aurantium Bergamia) is excellent for treating skin problems such as acne, eczema, or psoriasis. It regulates sebum secretion, aids wound healing, and supports skin cell regeneration. Bergamot invigorates and refreshes, with a citrus yet spicy scent with its own character, like an "Italian spring morning after the rain." Bergamot originated from a cross between bitter orange and lemon.
• Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) is a tropical grass known for its dense root system. The essential vetiver oil extracted from the roots is often used in perfumes. It has a long-lasting woody-balsamic scent with strong earthy, root-like, and smoky notes. Vetiver is also used in naturopathy, aromatherapy, and Ayurveda. It promotes relaxation, strengthens the immune system, and is considered a remedy for fever and headaches.
