The serum with retinol alternative is based on a birch sap extraction specially developed by Mádara. Extremely rich in nutrients, birch extract is known for its healing, anti-inflammatory, and soothing properties. It also stimulates cell division and fights free radicals.

Usage

• Apply in the evening to cleansed skin.

Active Ingredients

• Birch extract/sap (Betula Alba (Birch) Leaf Extract) is obtained from the leaves of the Betula Alba tree. It is known for its skin-healing and cleansing properties and also has an astringent effect. Birch sap has anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties and supports skin regeneration.
• Hyaluronic acid (Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate) retains moisture up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid is a main component of connective tissue, filling and supporting it. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, it is responsible for the skin’s moisture content. Hyaluronic acid also promotes skin firmness and elasticity. As we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid, which is one of the main causes of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid helps fill fine lines and plump the skin.
• Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates and can reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots. It also has the ability to shrink large pores and revive dull, uneven skin tone.
• Jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) – The high fatty acid content makes the skin soft, supple, and resilient. The oil has antibacterial properties, absorbs quickly, and contains vitamins B, E, minerals, and beta-carotene (provitamin A). It strengthens cell development and renewal, fights skin aging, and strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier. Also very suitable for hair and scalp care. By the way, jojoba oil is technically not an oil but a plant wax.

• Murumuru butter (Astrocaryum murumuru seed butter) is obtained from the seeds of the murumuru palm. Used for centuries by indigenous people in the Amazon, the butter provides intense moisture and soothes dry, cracked, and sensitive skin. With an effective composition of essential fatty acids and provitamin A, murumuru helps restore the elasticity of mature and damaged skin. The butter also has strong antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, penetrates the skin quickly, and leaves a smooth, velvety-soft skin feel.
• Sea buckthorn kernel oil (Hippophae rhamnoides fruit/seed oil) – the concentration of vitamin C in this oil offers strong antioxidant protection, supports collagen production, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and photoaging. Sea buckthorn is rich in anti-inflammatory omega fatty acids and is therefore especially beneficial for inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and rosacea. Sea buckthorn is an excellent source of vitamin A, which increases cell turnover and promotes skin cell regeneration.
