The Sunscreen SPF50 from Laboratoires de Biarritz is a mineral sunscreen for the body – ideal for fair, sensitive, and sun-sensitive skin that needs reliable protection and a creamy, nourishing texture. The formulation protects with mineral UV filters against UVA and UVB rays and can also be used on the face if needed.

The creamy texture spreads well on arms, legs, shoulders, and décolleté, leaving only minimal white traces and no greasy skin feeling. This makes the sunscreen very suitable for long days outdoors, vacations, beach, garden, or walks – everywhere the skin on the body needs intensive protection.

Usage

• Application areas: face and body.
• Apply evenly and generously to healthy skin before sun exposure. Reapply frequently in sufficient amounts, especially after swimming.
• Avoid sun exposure between 12 and 16 hours, otherwise wear protective clothing.
• Babies and toddlers under 3 years should not be exposed to the sun. Excessive sun exposure is a health risk. Applying too little reduces protection significantly.

For even more guarantees to protect our planet, it seemed essential to us to scientifically assess the impact of our sunscreens on aquatic ecosystems.

Therefore, we tested their biodegradability¹ and conducted ecotoxicity studies under extreme conditions², both in seawater, as we wanted to assess the impact on the ocean, and in freshwater, as we must not forget that sunscreens also enter the water through showering after sun exposure.

For a comprehensive and as realistic as possible overview, these studies were conducted on an exceptionally large number of species, as we observed no fewer than 7 plankton and sediment organisms from freshwater and seawater, representing different trophic levels and representative of various aquatic food chains.

These studies conclude that our sunscreens are not ecotoxic to aquatic ecosystems.
