The concentrated formula combines wildcrafted arnica with organic calendula and the essential oils of blue chamomile and helichrysum. Arnica has a long tradition of topical use and is especially valued for massaging tired and overworked muscles—ideal after exercise, sports, or a long day.

• Arnica – Arnica montana is one of the classic plants of traditional European herbalism. Topically, arnica has long been used for tired, overworked, and tense areas of the body. For the balm, Anima Mundi uses wildcrafted arnica flowers from Oregon.
• Calendula – Calendula is a classic for dry, sensitive, and stressed skin. Its plant compounds support natural regeneration and help keep the skin calm, supple, and resilient.
• Blue Chamomile – Blue chamomile essential oil is characterized by its high content of azulenes, which are also responsible for its distinctive deep blue color. It is especially valued for its soothing qualities in the care of sensitive and stressed skin.
• Helichrysum / Immortelle – Helichrysum essential oil has a long tradition in regenerative body and skincare rituals. It beautifully complements arnica and chamomile for overworked and care-needy skin.
  

At the same time, Wild Arnica Balm is an intensive skincare product. Jojoba oil and beeswax supply dry skin with lipids, support the natural skin barrier, and help retain moisture in the skin for longer. Calendula and blue chamomile complement the formula with their soothing properties, while vitamin E provides antioxidant protection.

Active Ingredients

• Arnica (Arnica Montana Flower Extract) – Arnica is a medicinal plant from the daisy family with sunny yellow flowers. It has wound-healing, disinfecting, and anti-inflammatory properties, supports skin regeneration, and soothes the skin.
• Calendula / Marigold (Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil / Extract), from the daisy family, is especially known for its anti-inflammatory, soothing, and wound-healing effects. It also promotes collagen production and helps produce new tissue (an important process in wound healing), while carotenoids strengthen the skin barrier. It is very well tolerated and is also suitable for baby skin. Secondary plant compounds known as flavonoids have antioxidant effects and protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
• Flower extract of true or Roman chamomile (Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria Extract / Anthemis Nobilis Flower) has soothing, relaxing, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing effects. Blemished skin benefits from its clarifying action. Extracts of the plant stimulate skin metabolism and support cell regeneration. It is very suitable for sensitive skin. Stressed scalps also benefit from its disinfecting and soothing properties, which support hair growth.
• Helichrysum essential oil, also known as immortelle or everlasting flower (Helichrysum Essential Oil), has astringent, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects and supports wound healing. The oil is said to activate collagen synthesis, thereby strengthening connective tissue, stimulating skin regeneration, and improving skin elasticity. Due to its soothing properties, it is also very suitable for irritated and sensitive skin.
• Jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) – Its high fatty acid content makes the skin soft, supple, and resilient. The oil has antibacterial properties, absorbs quickly, and contains vitamins B and E, minerals, and beta-carotene (provitamin A). It supports cell development and renewal, combats skin aging, and strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier. It is also very suitable for hair and scalp care. Incidentally, jojoba oil is technically not an oil but a plant wax.
• Beeswax (Cera Falva, Cera Alba) – The wax forms a protective film on the skin and thereby binds moisture without clogging the pores. Beeswax also has a mildly antiseptic effect and can soothe inflammation. It calms irritated skin and may even help with eczema. The vitamin A contained in the wax promotes cell renewal and thus counteracts premature skin aging.

Is Wild Arnica Balm also a regular skincare product?
Yes. Jojoba oil, beeswax, calendula, and vitamin E intensely nourish the skin with lipids, support the skin barrier, and help preserve moisture. It is therefore also lovely for dry hands, feet, elbows, or other rough areas of the body.

Can I use the balm on sensitive skin?
Calendula and blue chamomile are traditionally used especially for sensitive and stressed skin. However, the balm contains essential oils of blue chamomile and helichrysum. For highly reactive skin, we therefore recommend testing it first on a small area of skin.
