Usage

• Inform yourself: Before using your Leaf razor, please read this guide. If you have questions about blade replacement, usage, or care of your razor, write to us.
• Insert the blade(s) into the razor:
• Turn the bottom of the handle clockwise to open the blade holder.
• Then insert a single-edge blade. You can use Single-Edge blades or broken Double-Edge blades.
• Afterwards, secure the blade again by turning the bottom of the handle counterclockwise until it is firmly seated. (Do not overtighten)
• Enjoy the shave:
• Do not apply additional pressure; let the weight of the razor do the work (do not press too hard!).
• Hold the razor head at a 30-degree angle to the skin during shaving to achieve the smoothest and gentlest shave possible.
• Rinse the razor frequently with warm water – razor and skin should always be moist. Feel your skin to find spots you may have missed and go over them again.
• For even more thorough results, repeat the process by shaving against the natural hair growth direction.

Instead of trying to shave as quickly as possible, consider shaving as a small self-care ritual. How about a nice hot shower, a soothing body scrub, and then methodically and carefully shaving so you don’t miss anything.

• Shower and exfoliate

For an optimal shave, make sure your skin is warm, clean, and preferably freshly exfoliated. After a thorough scrub in the shower, shaving works super easily.

• Apply shaving oil or soap

Use shaving oil or soap according to your personal preference and lather the skin well. It is always recommended to lather only the area currently intended for shaving – step by step, so to speak. If you use shaving oil, it’s best to wash your hands briefly with soap to get a good grip.

• Do not apply pressure

The razors are made of solid brass and have a nice weight. Let the razor glide over the skin without applying additional pressure. A good rule of thumb is to position the razor at an angle of about 30 degrees.

• Shave with or against hair growth?

What works for many:
- Legs: The skin on the legs is not particularly sensitive, and shaving against hair growth is not a problem. Usually, one pass is enough for a thorough shave.
- Underarms: First shave with the hair growth, then pull the skin taut and do a second pass against the hair growth, but without applying pressure.
- Bikini area: First shave with the hair growth, then again rather across the hair growth than against it, and of course, all without additional pressure.

• Keep the razor blade clean

After a few passes, rinse the razor head. It’s best to hold the razor head firmly and loosen it by half a turn. Then clean the razor head under the tap or in a small bowl of water from deposits (hair, skin, oil, grease, etc.). Keeping the blade clean and sharp is important to avoid skin irritation.

• Keep the blade sharp

A sharp razor blade is key to avoiding irritation and ingrown hairs. It’s best to change the blade after three to four shaves. The cost of blades is low, so frequent replacement is easy. Collect used blades in a small container and dispose of them properly.

Care: Rinse the razor thoroughly under running water after each use. At regular intervals, for example when changing blades, clean the razor without blades under clear water.
