Calming Blue Balm 15 ml

The RAAW Alchemy Calming Blue Balm is a rich multi-balm for the face, lips, and dry areas of the body. Its water-free formula combines soothing Blue Tansy with a vegan lanolin alternative, jojoba, kukui, and evening primrose oils, as well as protective plant waxes. It helps protect the skin from moisture loss, strengthens its natural barrier, and makes brittle or rough areas soft and supple again.

The extraordinary sapphire-blue color comes from the azulene-rich oil of Blue Tansy and completely blends into the skin when applied. The slightly waxy texture forms a protective layer and is particularly suitable for lips, cuticles, elbows, dry areas around the nose, or skin exposed to wind and cold.

• Blue Tansy (Tanacetum annuum), also known as Moroccan chamomile, is characterized by its intensely blue essential oil. The azulene-rich component can soothe irritated skin and help visible redness appear more even. It gives the balm its extraordinary sapphire-blue color.
• The vegan alternative to lanolin gives the balm its smooth, protective texture. Plant waxes such as Carnauba wax form a fine barrier on the skin, lock in moisture, and protect brittle or rough areas from further drying out.
• Kukui nut oil has traditionally been used in Hawaii to care for dry and stressed skin. The lightweight oil, rich in linoleic and linolenic acids, smooths rough areas, soothes irritated-looking skin, and supports an intact skin barrier.
• Milk thistle oil contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidant plant compounds. It protects against free radicals, supports the skin barrier, and leaves stressed areas of skin soft and resilient.

On the face, the balm is suitable as the final step over serum, cream, or facial oil. For particularly dry skin, it can be applied in the evening over RAAW Alchemy Blue Drops and works overnight like a protective layer. It also protects exposed areas of skin from drying out in wind and cold.

How to use

• Warm a small, pea-sized amount gently between your fingertips.
• Apply as needed to the lips, hands, cuticles, elbows, or other dry areas of skin.
• On the face, distribute over serum, cream, or facial oil as the final step in your skincare routine.
• For very dry skin, apply over Blue Drops in the evening and leave on overnight.
• Apply a thin layer to exposed areas of skin as protective care against wind and cold.
• Allow it to absorb briefly before applying makeup.
  

Active ingredients

• Kukui nut oil (Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Nut Oil) has been used as a beauty oil in Hawaii for centuries. The gentle, fast-absorbing oil contains linolenic acid, linoleic acid, and vitamins A, C, and E. It relieves skin irritation (e.g., eczema and psoriasis), provides moisture, and strengthens the skin barrier.
• Milk thistle (Silybum Marianum) is very well tolerated and contains valuable fatty acids in the form of linoleic and oleic acids, flavonoids, and proteins. Milk thistle strengthens the skin barrier, protects the skin from free radicals, and combats signs of blemishes. It also provides moisture, helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and refines the pores. Very suitable for sensitive skin. Milk thistle is also used to protect the liver from harmful influences. This is due to the active compound complex silymarin. This active ingredient can strengthen the outer membrane of liver cells, thereby inhibiting the penetration of harmful substances. Silymarin also helps the liver recover more quickly after damage.
• Evening primrose oil / Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose) oil) soothes the skin, makes it more supple, and slows moisture loss. Its high proportion of omega-6 fatty acids, along with vitamins and minerals, has a regenerative and healing-supportive effect. It relieves itching and helps combat atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. Dry, rough, flaky, and inflamed skin particularly benefits from the oil’s nourishing properties.
• Avocado (persea gratissima oil / fruit extract) is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, proteins, copper, folic acid, and magnesium—all building blocks for healthy skin and hair. Its high phytosterol content makes it easy to spread and allows it to absorb quickly. It supports the skin’s moisture balance, protects it from drying out, and helps prevent wrinkles. In hair care, it adds shine, provides moisture to dry, brittle, and damaged hair, strengthens it, and repairs damage.
• Blue tansy / Blue Tansy (Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) Flower Oil) – Also known as Moroccan chamomile. The word “Tansy” comes from the Greek word “Athanaton” and means “immortal”—Blue Tansy promotes cell regeneration. The healing properties of Blue Tansy are attributed to the azulene pigment, which gives it its distinctive blue color, soothes the skin, and relieves redness and inflammation. Blue Tansy smooths damaged capillaries and improves the firmness and elasticity of the tissue.

The sapphire-blue color comes from natural Blue Tansy oil and leaves no visible blue tint when applied. Since natural plant oils are used, the color and fragrance may vary slightly from batch to batch.
