Treatment with the fine needles causes irritation of the scalp cells, which promotes regeneration and stimulates blood circulation. Microneedling stimulates the stem cells in the dermal papilla, increases blood flow to the hair follicles, and activates growth factors and signaling pathways that can restore and enhance hair growth.
Microneedling Benefits
Activates damaged or dormant hair follicles. Hair growth goes through 3 phases: anagen (growth), catagen (follicle shrinkage), and telogen (hair loss) [4]. Microneedling activates epidermal stem cells and the wound healing process in follicles during the telogen phase. This stimulates regeneration and helps damaged or inactive follicles re-enter the anagen phase and activate hair growth.
Maximizes absorption of scalp treatments. The micro-injuries increase permeability for better, reliable, and consistent absorption of scalp treatments.
Promotes new and fuller hair growth. Microneedling triggers skin revascularization to supply follicles with nutrients and stimulate stem cells for repair by causing micro-injuries. The micro-injuries lead to vessel dilation and open the follicles for better absorption of nutrients and proteins from the body.
In patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA), affected hair follicles shrink, resulting in shorter, weaker strands, similar to the invisible hair strands on the body. The follicles have a shorter growth phase and become more sensitive to DHT (a testosterone metabolite), which blocks proteins and suffocates the follicle. This leads to reduced hair density in the affected areas.
Microneedling activates the cells of the dermal papilla (DP) and epidermal stem cells by creating micro-injuries. The dermal papilla (DP), a cluster of specialized fibroblasts, regulates the growth and activity of various cells in the follicle and plays a key role in controlling the hair cycle and growth. Hair follicle regeneration begins when signals from DP cells reach the epidermal stem cells responsible for wound healing.

Usage
- Spray the roller head with rubbing alcohol or disinfectant before use and let it dry.
- Apply light pressure and gently roll over the clean, dry scalp.
- Roll back and forth 5-10 times on affected areas or the entire scalp at least once a week.
- Apply your scalp treatment(s) to the entire scalp after rolling to ensure optimal absorption.
- Disinfect the roller head after use and store it clean.
- Note: For best results, regular use is required. We do not recommend this product for facial use. We do not recommend this product for use on very problematic scalp/skin irritations (such as eczema or psoriasis), as these are very sensitive and there is a risk of further irritation.
