Good to know: Linoleic acid strengthens the skin barrier by building the intercellular lipid complex, thereby preventing transepidermal water loss and the penetration of microorganisms. A weakened lipid complex leads to an altered and impaired skin barrier that is susceptible to the penetration of microorganisms through irritants and allergens, which in turn leads to excessive inflammation. This is seen in psoriasis, eczema, and atopic dermatitis. Natural oils are excellent for topical use to support linoleic acid levels and skin-barrier repair. Active ingredients

• Sea buckthorn seed oil is especially rich in anti-inflammatory omega fatty acids. Sea buckthorn is also an excellent source of vitamin A, which increases cell turnover and promotes the regeneration of skin and hair cells. The concentration of vitamin C in this powerful oil provides effective antioxidant protection.
• Rosehip seed oil, wild rose oil — The oil from the fruit of the dog rose effectively supports cellular regeneration. Rich in vitamin C, minerals, beta-carotene, flavonoids, and malic acid, it helps with cellular damage and has a balancing effect. It can protect hair from sun damage, provide moisture, and regenerate dry, brittle ends.
• Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) contains flavonoids, potassium salts, and saponins, as well as up to 10% silicic acid. This acid is an essential building block of skin tissue and promotes the renewal, elasticity, and firmness of the skin. Horsetail stimulates blood and lymph circulation and supports supple, smooth skin. Horsetail is a very ancient plant species and, together with ferns and club mosses, covered vast forests around 350 million years ago.
• Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera Root Extract / Withania Somnifera Leaf/Root Extract), also known as winter cherry or Indian ginseng, is one of the important plants in Ayurveda. The plant extract helps protect the skin from oxidative stress caused by environmental influences and may counteract visible signs of stressed skin, such as dryness and a dull appearance. Studies with standardized ashwagandha root extract also show improvements in skin hydration, elasticity, and evenness. The plant compounds it contains are also being studied in connection with oxidative stress and inflammatory processes in the skin. Ashwagandha therefore supports a more resilient, smoother, firmer-looking complexion
  
• Sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil) has a high content of linoleic acid, antioxidants, and vitamin E. It supports wound healing, has antibacterial properties, and helps the skin regenerate. The oil combats blemishes with vitamins A and D. It is readily absorbed and does not clog pores. For hair, it is a natural moisturizer that strengthens the hair, promotes growth, reduces frizz, and adds shine.
• Squalane or squalane oil (Squalane) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, non-greasy oil that leaves the skin silky smooth. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore readily absorbed by the skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents the oxidation of the skin's natural oils. This regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, softens the skin, and promotes oxygenation and cellular regeneration.
• Grapeseed oil (Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil) has a high content of linoleic acid and vitamins E and K. It is considered an oil with exceptionally strong antioxidant and cell-protective properties. The oil promotes skin elasticity, has anti-inflammatory properties, and helps regulate sebum production.
• Amla / amalaki (Phyllanthus Emblica (Indian Gooseberry) Extract), also known as Indian gooseberry, is described in the Charaka Samhita as “the best rejuvenating agent of all.” The fruit contains oleic acid and vitamin E, as well as a very high concentration of vitamin C—many times that of a lemon—and therefore has powerful antioxidant properties. Amla is said to have excellent cell-protective properties. The fruit is believed to stimulate hair growth, help prevent hair loss, and counter premature graying. It also has a positive effect on split ends, hair breakage, and lack of strength. Amla also benefits the appearance of the skin by stimulating collagen production and tightening the skin.
• Neem (Azadirachta Indica (Neem) Leaf Extract) — The neem tree is one of the most important medicinal plants in Ayurvedic medicine and has been used as a remedy for thousands of years. Because of its many effects, neem is also known as the village pharmacy. The plant contains more than 100 active compounds, including azadirachtin, nimbin, and limonoids, with powerful antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
• Hemp seed oil / Hemp Seed Oil (Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil) is rich in the essential fatty acids omega-6 and omega-3. Hemp oil supports the skin's natural protective barrier, which prevents bacteria and environmental toxins from penetrating. The skin remains healthy and soft, is optimally moisturized, and looks beautifully smooth. Hemp oil may also help with skin conditions such as psoriasis, neurodermatitis, or itchy, reddened skin. This is due to the anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antimicrobial effects of compounds such as stearic acid.
• Calendula / marigold (Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil / Extract) from the daisy family is especially known for its anti-inflammatory, soothing, and wound-healing effects. It also promotes collagen formation and helps produce new tissue, an important process in wound healing, while carotenoids strengthen the skin's protective barrier. It is very well tolerated and is also suitable for baby skin. Secondary plant compounds known as flavonoids have antioxidant properties and protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
• Flower extract of true or Roman chamomile (Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria Extract / Anthemis Nobilis Flower) has soothing, relaxing, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing properties. Blemished skin benefits from its clarifying effect. Extracts of the plant stimulate skin metabolism and promote cellular regeneration. It is very suitable for sensitive skin. Stressed scalps also benefit from its disinfecting and soothing properties, which support hair growth.
