The Bug Spray from Anima Mundi was originally developed for outdoor moments in tropical Costa Rica and combines essential oils with a jojoba and castor oil base. Citronella, lemongrass, and rose geranium define the formula for insect protection, while lavender and cypress round out the intensely botanical scent.

The oil-based formula can be applied sparingly to exposed areas of skin and is suitable for gardens, travel, hikes, camping, and summer evenings outdoors. The scent is fresh and citrusy, green, and slightly woody.

Citronella: A classic ingredient in plant-based insect repellents. The intensely lemon-scented essential oil is used to repel mosquitoes and other insects.
Lemongrass: Complements the formula with its distinctive citrus scent and is also one of the typical plant essences used in outdoor formulations.
Rose geranium: Adds a green-floral note and complements the combination of essential oils for insect protection.
Lavender: Gives the blend a softer, herbal scent facet.
Cypress: Rounds out the scent with green, woody depth.

Jojoba oil and castor oil form the smooth base of the formula and distribute the essential oils evenly over the skin. Citronella and lemongrass define the fresh citrus character, rose geranium adds a floral nuance, while lavender and cypress make the composition softer and woodier.

The formula contains no DEET or synthetic fragrances and can be used sparingly.

The modern Herbal Apothecary Anima Mundi was founded by Costa Rican herbalist Adriana Ayales. Many formulas draw on the plants, scents, and herbal traditions of her homeland - as does this spray, originally developed for tropical outdoor moments.

Application

Apply a small amount to exposed areas of skin and massage in gently.
Use sparingly due to the concentrated formula.
Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.

We carefully process and package your order in our warehouse in Reutlingen. Processing usually takes within 48 hours. As soon as your order has been handed over to the shipping service provider, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking. After handover to DHL, the shipping time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.

The shipping costs 4.95€; for orders over 60€, we offer free shipping within Germany.

International orders are shipped depending on the destination country and package size with DHL International or Deutsche Post Warenpost International Premium. The available shipping methods and costs are shown at checkout. Shipping time depends on the destination country, chosen shipping method, and customs clearance.

Returns: You can return unopened, unused, and undamaged products within 14 days of delivery. For returns within Germany, we provide a return label for 5.95€ upon request. Returns from abroad must be organized and paid for by the customer.

We package carefully, lovingly, and environmentally friendly. The box, filling material, and greeting card are made from recycled paper, and even the packing tape can be disposed of in the paper recycling bin.
