The Italian natural cosmetics brand Biofficina Toscana was founded by Eva Casagli and Claudia Lami. Its natural hair care products combine traditional Italian craftsmanship with modern scientific advances and the wonderful nature of Tuscany. Many of the plant-based ingredients come directly from the region, including sea buckthorn and pomegranate from Maremma, olive oil and honey from the area around Lucca, sunflower oil from Mugnano, and precious Italian everlasting flowers from the island of Elba.
Modern scientific methods help make the best possible use of the ingredients. The formulas from Biofficina Toscana contain innovative, patented plant extracts such as Uviox® from Chianti grape skins, Oleox® from the wastewater generated by olive production in the hills around Siena, and Rubiox® from berries grown in the hills around Lucca.
Biofficina Toscana develops natural cosmetics that combine locally sourced plant ingredients with modern formulations. Affordable hair care ranges from mild shampoos and conditioners to targeted curl care, such as curl lotions, co-wash and curl styling products, as well as nourishing hair treatments and hair masks.
