The RAAW Alchemy Velvet Cocoon Body Oil is an antioxidant body oil for dry, tight-feeling or dull skin. The silky formula combines astaxanthin and Laminaria algae extract with cold-pressed kukui, baobab, jojoba and sunflower oils. It supplies the skin with valuable lipids, strengthens its natural protective barrier and helps prevent moisture loss.

Despite its rich plant-oil composition, Velvet Cocoon spreads effortlessly and absorbs well when used sparingly. Especially on slightly damp skin, it seals in existing moisture and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth with a subtle, silky sheen.

The warm fragrance composition combines spicy ginger, dry cedarwood and floral ylang-ylang with nuances of frankincense, neroli, rose geranium and vanilla. The scent remains subtle on the skin, while also making Velvet Cocoon a nourishing massage and bath oil.

Key active ingredients

• Astaxanthin: This highly antioxidant carotenoid helps protect the skin from free radicals and oxidative stress caused by UV radiation and other external influences. Astaxanthin has also been studied in relation to hydration, elasticity and signs of premature skin ageing, making it a particularly beneficial addition to this body oil for dry, sun-exposed or less resilient skin. It supports a smoother, softer and more vibrant-looking complexion.
• Kukui nut oil: This lightweight, fast-absorbing plant oil is rich in linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids and supplies the skin with essential omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. It supports the natural lipid barrier, helps reduce moisture loss and leaves dry, rough or tight-feeling skin soft and supple. Thanks to its lightweight texture, it is especially well suited to intensive body care that nourishes the skin without feeling heavy.
• Baobab oil: This seed oil from the African baobab provides nourishing unsaturated fatty acids and antioxidant compounds. It enhances lipid-rich care for dry and demanding skin, improves softness and elasticity, and helps reduce a rough or flaky skin feel. After application, the skin feels smoother and softer and looks visibly more cared for.
• Laminaria algae: This brown algae extract contains moisture-binding polysaccharides as well as minerals and antioxidant compounds. It supports skin hydration, helps limit moisture loss and complements the oil care with a marine, antioxidant component. Particularly dry skin or skin stressed by the sun and environmental factors benefits from the smoother, softer feel.
• Jojoba & sunflower oil: Jojoba consists predominantly of skin-like wax esters and forms a lightweight, supple protective film on the skin. Sunflower oil complements the formula with linoleic acid and natural vitamin E. Together, they support the skin barrier, reduce moisture loss and help keep dry skin soft and supple without leaving a heavy greasy film.
• Vitamin E: This fat-soluble antioxidant protects skin lipids from oxidative processes, reinforcing the antioxidant character of the entire oil blend. At the same time, vitamin E supports barrier care and helps maintain the softness and elasticity of dry or stressed skin.
• Frankincense, ginger, cedarwood, neroli & ylang-ylang: These essential oils give Velvet Cocoon its warm, spicy-floral scent and complement the formula with additional antioxidant plant compounds. Ginger adds fresh spice, cedarwood warm woody depth, while neroli and ylang-ylang round out the fragrance with soft floral notes.

How to use

• Apply to slightly damp skin after showering or bathing.
• Massage in with gentle, circular movements from the feet up to the décolleté.
• For dry skin, apply as needed to individual rough or tight-feeling areas.
• Apply more generously as a massage oil and work in slowly.
• It can also be used for shaving and caring for hands, cuticles and dry hair ends.
