👉 True retinoids like retinol and retinal are considered the gold standard in anti-aging care. Their effectiveness has been proven in numerous studies. Retinal has the advantage over retinol of working faster and more effectively because it is converted into active retinoic acid in just one step. It is also gentler and can be used on sensitive skin. This powerful serum stimulates collagen production, promotes cell renewal, and supports a smooth complexion. Lines, pigmentation irregularities, and dullness can gradually be reduced.

Usage

• Preferably use the Adaptogen Retinal Serum in the evening, as retinoids can make the skin sensitive to light, and the serum can best develop its regenerating effect overnight.
• We also recommend gradually integrating the active ingredient into your beauty routine: with two to three applications per week, you give your skin time to get used to the new ingredient.
• You can also use the serum as an active ingredient booster by adding a few drops to a facial oil or cream of your choice.
• The serum has a practical lock-in closure: open the serum by turning the pump dispenser to the left; close the serum by turning the pump dispenser to the right.
  Cleanse your skin thoroughly.
• Apply 3-4 pumps of the serum to the skin.

Active Ingredients

• Squalane or squalane oil is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of the skin’s own fats. This regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil. For cosmetics, squalene is converted into squalane. Squalane contains no unsaturated compounds and is therefore oxidation-resistant and longer-lasting.
• Pomegranate seed oil (Punica Granatum Seed Oil) contains the rare omega-5 fatty acids (punicic acid). These fatty acids have strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The oil supports the fight against free radicals and premature skin aging, can reduce age spots, and promotes collagen synthesis, thus supporting skin regeneration and repair. Furthermore, the oil contains secondary plant substances such as flavonoids, polyphenols, and phytosterols, all of which have strong regenerative effects.
• Retinol, retinal, and retinoids are derivatives of vitamin A, which plays a key role in cell growth processes. Retinol is converted in the body into vitamin A acid and then unfolds its power. The vitamin supports the skin’s regeneration process, stimulates metabolism, and promotes collagen production. Its plumping effect improves skin texture and makes the skin appear fuller, smoother, and more even. Retinol increases sensitivity to sunlight and should preferably be used with UV protection or in the evening.
• Silver ear mushroom (Tremella Fuciformis (Snow Mushroom) Extract) acts like a plant-based form of hyaluronic acid and is therefore also called botanical hyaluronic acid. The extract of the silver ear mushroom is chemically very similar to hyaluronic acid and has equally strong moisturizing and water-binding properties.
• Bisabolol / alpha-bisabolol can be obtained from the essential oils of chamomile or yarrow and from the wood of the candeia tree. Bisabolol is very well tolerated and ideal for irritated or sensitive skin. Dry or blemished skin also benefits from its soothing and healing properties. Alpha-bisabolol has antibacterial effects and can help with pigmentation spots. Bisabolol acts on melanocyte receptors to reduce irritation reactions, which can lead to decreased melanin synthesis. This process can reduce skin pigmentation and lead to a brightening effect.
• Saffron (Crocus Sativus) is a brightening, antioxidant powerhouse with strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It removes dead skin cells and excess oil and helps against impurities and acne. It can protect against UV damage and prevent premature skin aging. Lycopene, zeaxanthin, as well as alpha- and beta-carotene help minimize scars, brighten the skin, and make it soft and smooth.
