Heat Protectant Shield

The Rahua Heat Protectant Shield is a plant-based leave-in spray that protects against heat damage, strengthens hair with nutrients, and leaves your hair soft and healthy-looking.

A combination of avocado, castor, and almond oils, shea butter, and Rahua oil forms a heat-resistant plant complex that protects hair from heat styling up to 210°C. Due to its light molecular weight, Rahua oil can penetrate the cortex of each individual strand when heated, protecting the hair from heat. Additionally, the strands are moisturized and smoothed from within.

Active Ingredients

• Rahua (Ungurahua): Women in the Amazon region have used the oil from this tree nut for centuries to care for and strengthen their hair. It strengthens weak and damaged hair, nourishes and maintains the health of hair follicles and scalp, and its ultra-fine molecules penetrate the color pigmentation deep into the hair shaft, significantly extending color retention. The skin benefits from its generous supply of omega-9 fatty acids, which firm and soothe and restore the scalp’s natural moisture balance. Rahua uses Symbiotic® Ungurahua.
• Hibiscus (Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis Flower Powder / Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract) has been called the “Botox plant” for its firming and lifting properties for the skin. Hibiscus contains natural AHAs that accelerate cell renewal, gently exfoliate the skin, and can help control acne breakouts. Hibiscus strengthens elasticity, promotes regeneration, and moisturizes skin and hair, and the presence of anthocyanins helps pores appear smaller due to its astringent properties.
• Hydrolyzed Quinoa – Known by the ancient Incas as the “mother of all grains,” this gluten-free superfood revitalizes skin and hair. Rich in vitamins and high in amino acids, it inhibits collagen breakdown, supports connective tissue, promotes healing and moisture retention, and reduces signs of fatigue.
• Avocado (Persea gratissima oil / fruit extract) is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, proteins, copper, folic acid, and magnesium – all building blocks for healthy skin and hair. Due to its high phytosterol content, it spreads easily and absorbs quickly. It supports the skin’s moisture balance, protects against dryness, and helps prevent wrinkles. In hair care, it adds shine, moisturizes dry, brittle, and damaged hair, strengthens it, and repairs damage.
• D-Panthenol (Provitamin B5) is very well tolerated, promotes wound healing, regeneration, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Panthenol improves the appearance and smoothness of skin and hair. It moisturizes and smooths. Due to its small molecular size, it can penetrate deeply into cell tissue, retain moisture, and act as a provitamin.
• Sacha Inchi is a rare nut primarily grown in South America. The fruit is exceptionally rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, including vitamins A and E. Sacha Inchi retains moisture in skin and hair and soothes inflamed and itchy scalp. Its cell-activating effect provides a natural anti-aging effect, improves skin firmness, reduces fine lines, and can diminish pigmentation spots.
• Almond oil / Sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis / Sweet Almond Oil) is mild and well suited for caring for sensitive skin. Almond oil has soothing, emollient, and moisture-retaining properties. Dry, irritated, and mature skin especially benefits. Almond oil softens and smooths the skin and is also good for hair care. Vitamins and its high content of unsaturated fatty acids (especially oleic acid) strengthen the barrier function and provide protection.
