Heat Protectant Shield

The Rahua Heat Protectant Shield is a lightweight, plant-based leave-in spray for all hair types. It protects the hair from heat stress when blow-drying, straightening, or styling with a curling iron. At the same time, the spray provides softness, shine, and a polished finish—without silicones or a heavy feeling.

A heat-resistant plant complex of Rahua, Sacha Inchi, Morete, avocado, almond, and castor oils, along with shea butter, supports the lengths while styling with a blow-dryer, curling iron, or straightener at temperatures of up to 210 °C. Hibiscus extract, panthenol, and hydrolyzed quinoa supplement the formula with moisture and antioxidant care. The tropical scent of guava and coconut makes application a pleasant styling ritual.

Heat styling can strip moisture from the hair and leave the lengths brittle or dull over time. Rahua Heat Protectant Shield coats the hair evenly, combining reliable heat protection with lightweight, non-heavy care.

Shea butter and selected plant oils provide the lengths with nourishing lipids to help them stay softer during styling. Rahua, Morete, and Sacha Inchi oils supplement the formula with valuable fatty acids, while hibiscus extract contributes antioxidant plant compounds. Hydrolyzed quinoa and panthenol help the hair look smooth, soft, and cared for.

The result is soft, shiny, and easier-to-style hair that feels better protected from repeated heat styling.

Active ingredients

• Rahua (Ungurahua): For many centuries, women in the Amazon have used the oil from this tree nut to care for and strengthen their hair. It strengthens weak and damaged hair, nourishes and maintains the health of the hair follicles and scalp, and its ultra-fine molecules penetrate deeply into the hair shaft’s color pigments, significantly extending color longevity. The skin benefits from its rich supply of omega-9 fatty acids, which firm and soothe and restore the scalp’s natural moisture balance. Rahua uses Symbiotic® Ungurahua.
• Hibiscus (Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis Flower Powder / Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract)has also been called the “Botox plant” because of its firming and lifting properties for the skin. Hibiscus contains natural AHA, which can accelerate cell renewal, gently exfoliate the skin, and control acne breakouts. Hibiscus strengthens elasticity, promotes regeneration, and moisturizes the skin and hair, while the presence of anthocyanins helps pores appear smaller due to its astringent properties.
• Hydrolyzed Quinoa (Hydrolyzed Quinoa)—Known to the ancient Incas as the “mother of all grains,” this gluten-free superfood revitalizes skin and hair. Rich in vitamins and amino acids, it inhibits collagen breakdown, supports connective tissue, promotes healing and moisture retention, and reduces signs of fatigue.
• Avocado (persea gratissima oil / fruit extract) is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, proteins, copper, folic acid, and magnesium—all building blocks for healthy skin and hair. Thanks to its high phytosterol content, it spreads easily and absorbs quickly. It supports the skin’s moisture balance, protects it from drying out, and helps prevent wrinkles. In hair care, it provides shine, moisturizes dry, brittle, and damaged hair, strengthens it, and repairs damage.
• D-Panthenol (Provitamin B5) is highly compatible with the skin and has wound-healing, regenerative, and anti-inflammatory properties. Panthenol improves the appearance and softness of skin and hair. It has moisturizing and smoothing effects. Because of its small molecular size, it can penetrate deep into cellular tissue, retain moisture, and act as a provitamin.
• Sacha Inchi is a rare type of nut primarily cultivated in South America. The fruit is exceptionally rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, including vitamins A and E. Sacha Inchi preserves moisture in the skin and hair and soothes inflamed and itchy scalps. Its cell-activating effect provides a natural anti-aging effect; Sacha Inchi improves skin firmness, softens fine lines, and may reduce pigmentation spots.
• Almond oil / sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis / Sweet Almond Oil) is gentle and well suited to caring for sensitive skin. Almond oil soothes irritation, replenishes lipids, and helps retain moisture. Dry, irritated, and mature skin benefits especially from it. Almond oil leaves the skin soft and supple and is also well suited to hair care. Vitamins and its high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid, strengthen the skin barrier and provide protection.
