• Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also known as Indian ginseng, is a staple of Ayurveda. It is known for its ability to calm, soothe, and strengthen the body. • Squalane (Squalane oil) is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore well absorbed by the skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of skin’s natural fats. This regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil. For cosmetics, squalene is converted into squalane. Squalane contains no unsaturated bonds and is therefore oxidation-resistant and longer-lasting.
