Key active ingredients

• Moth bean extract (Vigna Aconitifolia) is a plant-based retinol-like active ingredient that supports skin renewal and may contribute to a smoother, firmer and more even skin texture. The extract is particularly used for maturing skin or skin losing elasticity, offering a gentle way to refine the appearance of the skin.
• Gotu Kola / Indian pennywort is rich in triterpenes such as asiaticoside and madecassoside, which are known for their regenerating and skin-firming properties. The plant extract supports the skin's collagen structure and may help improve elasticity and firmness. This makes Gotu Kola particularly interesting for diminishing resilience and for areas of skin where stretch marks are visible.
• Brown algae extract (2%) provides moisture-binding polysaccharides and other marine active ingredients. Laminaria japonica extracts may improve skin hydration and help reduce moisture loss. This leaves the skin looking smoother, plumper and more supple - a valuable complement to the firming plant-based active ingredients.
• Aloe vera & glycerin form the hydrating phase of the oil serum. Aloe vera supplies the skin with moisture and helps promote a soothed skin feel, while glycerin binds water in the horny layer. This means the skin receives not only lipids but also genuine hydration - an important difference from a classic pure body oil.
• Sesame, argan and rosehip oils, as well as squalane provide the skin with nourishing fatty acids and softening lipids. They help strengthen the natural lipid film, reduce moisture loss and make dry or rough skin softer. Argan oil has also been well studied for skin elasticity and moisture retention, making it a particularly useful complement to the serum's firming focus.
• Vitamin E has an antioxidant effect and protects skin lipids from oxidative stress. At the same time, it supports the stability of the plant oils it contains and complements the rich care for dry, mature skin and skin stressed by external influences.

How to use

• The Adaptogen Body Oil Serum can be used in the morning and/or evening.
• Use the oil serum after showering or bathing. Ideally, apply the oil serum to slightly damp skin, as this allows it to absorb best. (Thanks to its two-phase formulation, it also works on dry skin.)
• Apply a few pumps of the body oil to slightly damp skin.
• Gently massage in the body oil. It will be fully absorbed after just a few minutes. Enjoy silky-soft skin!

It is best to use the Body Oil Serum after your dry-brushing ritual. Removing dead skin cells allows the oil serum to absorb better and develop its effects.

Is the oil serum also suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, the Body Oil Serum is suitable for sensitive skin: it has a gentle formula and contains no alcohol, preservatives or synthetic ingredients. The proportion of essential oils is very low and is therefore well tolerated.

These innovative active ingredients are very expensive and, if used at all, are often included only in very small amounts. We always use the comparatively high active ingredient concentration recommended by current studies - even if this increases the production costs of our products.

We use the highest-quality ingredients and are water-free

In our Body Oil Serum, we use only effective, natural ingredients of the highest quality: wherever possible, our high-quality natural ingredients are organic or wild-harvested.

We use gently cold-pressed, organically certified active oils such as argan, rosehip and sesame oil, and avoid inexpensive filler oils such as caprylic/capric triglyceride or sunflower oil*. The oil phase is rounded off with high-quality, bio-based squalane derived from sustainably cultivated sugar cane.

Instead of water, we use organic aloe vera direct juice. (Our serum contains only very small amounts of water, as most plant extracts are dissolved in water).

We develop our products ourselves

Our Adaptogen Body Serum is an innovative in-house development that we worked on for many months in close collaboration with our experienced natural cosmetics laboratory. Such an in-house development is time-consuming and expensive, which is why many brands rely on more affordable, faster-to-produce pre-formulated standard formulas. But this is not an option for us, because our innovative formulation ideas can only be realised through in-house development.
