It is known that zinc ointments can have an anti-inflammatory effect. But while pure zinc ointments are not intended as a daily care ritual, The Glow with its hydrating and anti-inflammatory ingredients makes your complexion glow day after day. The effect behind your Glow was scientifically studied by This Place in 2021. In a laboratory study, an inflammatory reaction was induced on a model of human skin. This is a standard procedure in biochemical research to simulate, for example, the formation of pimples. Afterwards, this inflamed skin was treated either with The Glow or with a skin cream placebo. An analysis of the inflammation markers showed how strong the inflammatory reaction was in each case. The result: The Glow was able to inhibit the formation of important inflammation markers by up to 98%!

• Self-Care Step 1: Consciously spread an amount of cream about the size of a hazelnut on your clean palm.
• Self-Care Step 2: Breathe in and out deeply.
• Self-Care Step 3: Gently rub the cream between your palms. Focus your attention consciously on the light cream texture and enjoy the invigorating scent that The Glow emits.
• Self-Care Step 4: Spread the cream with gentle pressure from the center of your face outward. Be careful not to pull the delicate skin under your eyes! Active Ingredients

• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter) is obtained from the fruit of the karité tree. Shea butter has a long tradition as a care and healing agent. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and beta carotene, the butter protects against environmental stress, binds moisture, fights free radicals, promotes cell regeneration, and makes skin and hair soft and supple.
• Camellia seed oil / Camellia oil – The light oil is quickly absorbed by the skin, provides moisture, and reduces transepidermal water loss. It protects against oxidative stress and has anti-inflammatory effects. Ingredients such as vitamin E and polyphenols are effective anti-aging agents that support cell regeneration and combat fine lines.
• Squalane or squalane oil (Squalane) is a light, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy oil that leaves skin silky soft. Squalane is a natural component of our skin barrier and is therefore very well absorbed by our skin. It protects the skin from moisture loss and prevents oxidation of the skin’s own fats. The regenerating oil helps prevent age spots, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, makes the skin supple, and promotes oxygen supply and cell regeneration. It is mostly derived from olive oil, less commonly from rice bran or wheat germ oil.
• D-Panthenol (Provitamin B5) is very well tolerated, has wound-healing, regenerative, and anti-inflammatory effects. Panthenol improves the appearance and suppleness of skin and hair. It provides moisture and smoothing effects. Due to its small molecular size, it can penetrate deeply into the cell tissue, retain moisture, and act as a provitamin.
• Zinc PCA (Pyrrolidone carboxylic acid) is a natural component of moisture binding in the skin and has strong antimicrobial and sebum-regulating properties. Zinc inhibits the activity of sebum-stimulating enzymes and can thus reduce excessive sebum production. The pronounced antibacterial effect combined with the ability to reduce sebum production makes it very suitable for acne and impure skin. Additionally, Zinc PCA acts as an astringent, narrowing pores and providing a smoother appearance.
• Lactic acid (Lactic Acid) is an alpha hydroxy acid that gently exfoliates and can reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots. It also has the ability to shrink large pores and revive dull, uneven complexions.
• Hyaluronic acid (Hyaluronic Acid / Sodium Hyaluronate) stores moisture up to 1000 times its weight. Hyaluronic acid is a main component of connective tissue; it fills and supports connective tissue. Due to its ability to bind large amounts of water, it is responsible for the skin’s moisture content. Hyaluronic acid also promotes skin firmness and elasticity. As we age, we lose our natural hyaluronic acid, which is one of the main causes of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid helps fill in fine lines and plump the skin.
