Sultry Green Parfum

The green of Sultry Green does not recall freshly cut grass or young leaves. It is the dark green of cypress branches, sticky resin and smoked wood. Cardamom adds a cool, spicy, almost peppery sharpness, while pine tar gives the opening something bitter, tarry, and at times medicinal.

Incense does not wait in the background but makes itself noticeable early on. It smells balsamic, dry, and smoky, but also has a bright, slightly camphoraceous side. Coriander continues the fresh spiciness of the cardamom. Cinnamon leaves add warmth without evoking pastries or sweet cinnamon.

Rodrigo Flores-Roux is one of the renowned perfumers at fragrance house Givaudan and has been inducted into the Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame. For A.N OTHER, he was able to work without a set artistic direction and without the usual tight budget constraints. He considers Sultry Green his magnum opus.

A.N OTHER puts the people behind the perfumes at the center. The perfumers involved are given extensive creative freedom and do not have to adapt their ideas to a predefined campaign story. The minimalist design deliberately stays in the background so that the composition and raw materials determine the product’s true value. According to the brand, the gender-neutral fragrances are made without animal-derived ingredients, parabens, phthalates, or added colorants.

Application

• Spray the Eau de Parfum from a distance of approximately 15–20 cm onto warm areas of skin such as the neck, wrists, crooks of the arms, or behind the ears.
• Do not rub your wrists together after applying the fragrance, so that the individual fragrance phases can develop as faithfully as possible.
• Start with one or two sprays. Incense, pine tar, and cardamom are clearly noticeable from the outset, while patchouli, Akigalawood, and black leather become more prominent over time.
• Perfume often lasts longer on well-moisturized skin. For best results, use an unscented body care product.
• On clothing, incense, pine tar, patchouli, and leather in particular may remain noticeable for a long time. Test delicate or light-colored fabrics on an inconspicuous area first.
• Store away from heat and direct sunlight.
