The Gentle Balancing Toner from TEAM DR JOSEPH is a gentle, balancing facial toner for normal, dry, sensitive, and mature skin. After cleansing, it helps restore the skin’s natural pH, provides moisture, and ideally prepares it for serum, oil, or face cream.

Lemon balm, cornflower, witch hazel, and rose waters form the botanical base. Aloe vera and prickly pear provide the skin with moisture, while willowherb, rosehip, papaya, and antioxidant plant extracts complement the soothing and revitalizing effect.

• Witch Hazel & Floral Waters – Witch hazel and rose, cornflower, and lemon balm waters tone and refresh the skin after cleansing. The combination has a balancing effect and is particularly suitable for sensitive skin that is prone to tightness or irritation.
• Aloe Vera & Prickly Pear – Moisturize the skin and help keep it soft and supple. Aloe vera also has a soothing effect, while prickly pear provides antioxidant plant compounds and supports the skin’s resilience.

Directions

• Apply morning and evening after cleansing Face, neck, and décolleté apply.
• Gently pat into the skin with your fingers or sweep over the skin with a cotton pad.
• Do not rinse off.
• Then apply serum, facial oil, and/or cream.

Active ingredients

• Lemon balm (Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) Leaf) is a member of the mint family and is considered a calming herb. The plant was already used in the Middle Ages to reduce stress and restlessness, promote sleep, stimulate the appetite, and relieve discomfort from digestive disorders. Studies have shown that lemon balm may help reduce symptoms of anxiety by elevating mood and lowering stress hormone levels. In addition, there is evidence that lemon balm improves cognitive function and can reduce feelings of stress and tension.
• Rose distillate (Rosa Damascena (Rosa) Flower Water), also known as rose water or rose hydrosol, is obtained from rose blossoms and has soothing, astringent, and cleansing properties. It stimulates blood circulation in the fine capillaries and helps minimize the appearance of scars, micro-wounds, sunburn, and wrinkles. It has a naturally delicate rose fragrance.
• Witch hazel (Hamamelis / Zaubernuss / Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Extract)) – witch hazel leaf extract is made from the leaves and bark of the shrub. It helps remove excess oil, has anti-inflammatory properties, and balances the skin’s pH. Known for reducing acne and tightening the skin. Natural healing properties for a clearer complexion.
• Aloe vera extract / juice (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract / Juice) provides natural moisture, prevents the skin from drying out, and strengthens the skin’s natural barrier. Aloe vera contains vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and essential amino acids. It supplies the skin with oxygen and is considered effective in supporting cell renewal. It locks in moisture and has cooling, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties.
• Glycerin – This sugar alcohol is part of the body’s natural moisturizing system. Lipids (fats) in the skin are made up of glycerin and fatty acids. Glycerin has a hydrating effect and helps prevent water loss. It also has a stabilizing effect on the skin’s barrier function.
• Blue cornflower (Centaurea Cyanus (Cornflower) Flower Extract) contains tannins, flavonoids, bitter compounds, and anthocyanins, which have powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Cornflower extract has traditionally been used to soothe inflamed and irritated skin, particularly around tired and puffy eyes, where the plant demonstrates its benefits.
• Papaya juice (Carica Papaya Fruit Juice) is rich in vitamin C, supports collagen production, and firms the skin.
