How does this product differ from other Omega 3 capsules?
With our Omega 3 capsules (2:1 DHA/EPA), we want to offer an alternative for those for whom the dosage of our Omega 3 softgel capsules is not optimal due to the relatively high DHA content. This way, you can now choose even better according to your individual needs.
How are the algae cultivated? Can contaminants be excluded?
The algal oil for our Omega 3 capsules is obtained under controlled conditions in specially designed facilities from microalgae (Schizochytrium sp.). As a result, the algae naturally contain no measurable environmental toxins.

Omega-3 fatty acids have a variety of functions for the human body. For example, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contribute to normal heart function, and DHA helps maintain normal brain function and normal vision.
With a (predominantly) plant-based diet, however, the requirement can hardly be met because the conversion rate of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), found for example in flaxseed and hemp seeds, into DHA and EPA is very low.
To counteract a deficiency of these essential fatty acids, sufficient exogenous intake is indispensable.
