The Omega 3 2:1 DHA/EPA Capsules from InnoNature provide the two long-chain omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA directly from the oil of the microalga Schizochytrium sp.. With 300 mg DHA and 150 mg EPA per capsule, the formula offers a DHA:EPA ratio of 2:1 and is particularly suitable as a plant-based alternative to omega-3 from fish oil.

EPA – eicosapentaenoic acid: Each daily serving contains 150 mg EPA. Together with DHA, EPA contributes to normal heart function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of a total of 250 mg EPA and DHA.
Algal oil from Schizochytrium: The microalga is cultivated under controlled conditions and provides DHA and EPA directly from a plant-based source. This also makes the product suitable for a vegan diet. InnoNature has the algal oil regularly tested independently for PAHs, heavy metals, microbiology, and content.

Why algal oil instead of flaxseed or chia seed oil?
Flaxseed and chia seed primarily provide alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body must first convert into EPA and DHA. Algal oil, on the other hand, provides EPA and DHA directly.

Is the product vegan?
Yes. Both the omega-3-rich algal oil and the capsule shell are vegan. The product is also PETA-certified.

Can the capsules be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
