Active Ingredients

• The term adaptogen was coined by Russian doctor and scientist Nikolai V. Lazarev. It encompasses a wide variety of plants from around the world. For thousands of years, such adaptogens have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Indian Ayurveda. Adaptogens are plant compounds, often herbs, roots, or mushrooms, that help the body cope with stress factors. These include Schisandra, Eleuthero, Panax Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Maca, and medicinal mushrooms like Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, or Reishi. As the name suggests, adaptogens work by helping the body to “adapt,” meaning to adjust. Adaptogens increase our adaptability, regulate the stress axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis), and support anabolic metabolism.
