Usage

• About 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day added to your favorite drink, such as tea, matcha, coffee, smoothie, or meals.
• Increase the dosage if needed to enhance the effect.
• We recommend using it in drinks with fat-containing ingredients, such as beverages (with our coconut cream powder, coconut oil, MCT oil, ghee, etc.). For optimal effect, it can also be combined with fish oil or other DHA oils.

*Ginkgo and Gotu Kola are organically grown in India by a farm we work with directly. They are lovingly cultivated on a small-scale farm where traditional farming practices are incorporated. Then they are made into extract powders to optimize their potency as a powder.

Active Compounds

• The term adaptogen was coined by the Russian doctor and scientist Nikolai V. Lazarev. It encompasses a wide variety of plants from around the world. For millennia, such adaptogens have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Indian Ayurveda. Adaptogens are plant compounds, often herbs, roots, or mushrooms, that help the body cope with stress factors. These include Schisandra, Eleuthero, Panax Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Maca, and medicinal mushrooms like Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, or Reishi. As the name suggests, adaptogens work by helping the body to "adapt," that is, to adjust. Adaptogens increase our adaptability, regulate the stress axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis), and support anabolic metabolism. Adaptogens have a regulatory effect on the body, balancing deficits as well as reducing overfunctions. This idea of balance has a long tradition in TCM and Ayurveda. Adaptogens are said to bring harmony to body, mind, and soul.
• Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus), also known as Hedgehog Mushroom, owes its name to its rounded-oval shape with many densely packed long spines. This vital mushroom is considered a popular and excellent edible mushroom in China. It is rich in potassium, zinc, iron, germanium, selenium, phosphorus, and contains all essential amino acids as well as polysaccharides and polypeptides. The mushroom is said to increase physical energy and improve focus, concentration, and general cognitive functions. It also has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant effects and is believed to activate the immune system.
• Mucuna, also known as velvet bean, is one of the few naturally occurring and highly concentrated sources of L-Dopa. L-Dopa is a naturally occurring amino acid that converts into dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that induces feelings of joy and happiness. This adaptogenic legume has been used by indigenous peoples for centuries as a superfood for more energy and mood enhancement. Mucuna has a gentle balancing effect on the brain and hormonal system. For this reason, it is often used for depression and anxiety, which can partly be related to exhaustion or insufficient performance of these important neurotransmitters. It can reduce stress and support sexual function.
• Indian Pennywort / Tiger Grass / Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica Extract) – In Ayurvedic medicine, Indian Pennywort is also called "Tiger Grass" and is one of the most important medicinal plants. According to legend, wounded tigers roll in the leaves of the plant to heal wounds better. Tiger Grass has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and skin-regenerating effects. The plant promotes wound healing and collagen production. It is especially effective for mature skin care as it stimulates blood circulation. In China, India, and Indonesia, Gotu Kola is traditionally used as a medicinal plant. It enjoys high status especially among Ayurvedic doctors and healers. It is said to have antidepressant properties, strengthen memory, and have a positive effect on concentration. According to tradition, Gotu Kola promotes mental and physical cleansing. Science has now identified the calming compounds brahmoside and brahminoside in the plant.
