The Mānuka + Orange Volume & Shine Shampoo was developed for fine, weak, and dull hair. The formula cleanses thoroughly, refreshes the scalp, and provides more fullness, radiant shine, and vitality without weighing the hair down.

At the heart of the Volume & Shine line is Xylishine™, a bioactive ingredient derived from the Atlantic seaweed Pelvetia Canaliculata. This active ingredient smooths damaged cuticles, adds reflective shine to the hair, and supports more volume and lift in fine, weak hair. The formula is complemented by Mānuka honey, Kakadu plum, kiwi extract, argan oil, and moringa seed oil.

• Xylishine™ is obtained from the Atlantic seaweed Pelvetia canaliculata and a patented sugar complex. This active ingredient repairs the hair surface, improves the fiber’s moisture balance, resulting in more reflection, less frizz, and fuller, shinier hair. The Atlantic seaweed Pelvetia canaliculata provides the mineral- and protein-rich marine extract, while the sugar complex enhances the hydrating and smoothing effects.
• Mānuka honey, glycerin, and betaine hydrate the hair and scalp and help retain moisture. This makes the hair appear fresher, smoother, and less dull.
• Argan oil, moringa seed oil, shea butter, and hydrolyzed jojoba esters nourish the hair fiber to be softer, improve combability, and support shine. Hydrolyzed jojoba esters additionally smooth the hair surface and give the hair a light, silicone-free finish.
• Kakadu plum, kiwi extract, hibiscus, and grape seed extract complement the formula with botanical care that supports scalp comfort and hair feel. This is especially important for fine hair, as care here must feel fresh and light rather than heavy.
• Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Lauryl Glucoside, and Decyl Glucoside cleanse hair and scalp thoroughly without irritation. Lauryl Glucoside and Decyl Glucoside are mild, plant-based cleansing agents; Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride further improves smoothness, slip, and combability without weighing hair down.

Study data confirm the effectiveness: In a global Antipodes in-vivo trial with over 600 participants, 156 people used the Mānuka + Orange Shampoo together with the matching conditioner. After two weeks, 77% described their hair as shinier and more radiant, 69% as thicker and healthier-looking, and 90% reported their scalp as clean and refreshed.

• Argan oil (Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil) is extracted from the kernels of the argan fruit. The unique argan trees grow only in southwestern Morocco. The antioxidant- and vitamin-rich oil is used in skin and hair care. Its high fatty acid content (linoleic acid) supports the build-up and maintenance of the skin barrier. Its anti-inflammatory properties help with problematic skin, and the high vitamin E content protects against free radicals and promotes cell turnover. It provides moisture to hair, protects against environmental stressors, promotes a healthy appearance, and soothes itchy scalp and psoriasis. The non-comedogenic oil also acts as a light, natural heat and UV protectant.
• Mānuka honey – due to its uniquely high methylglyoxal (MGO) content, Mānuka honey is especially anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Raw honey is antiseptic and antimicrobial, helping to cleanse the skin and thoroughly eliminate bacteria. Honey contains gluconic acid, a mild alpha hydroxy acid that brightens and fades age spots. Raw honey is enriched with a variety of nutrients such as vitamin B, manganese, iron, potassium, and calcium. When mixed with water, honey releases a peroxide property that helps heal acne and inhibit bacterial growth. Additionally, honey is a humectant that supplies moisture to the skin and provides a wealth of nutrient-rich enzymes.
• Moringa seed oil (Moringa pterygosperma seed extract / oil) – the moringa tree is called the “miracle tree” and “tree of life” due to its uses. Moringa oil is nutrient-rich and helps tighten the skin and slow aging due to its high antioxidant concentration. Moringa oil has antibacterial properties that can reduce acne inflammation and redness.
• Hibiscus (Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis Flower Powder / Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract) has been called the “Botox plant” for its firming and lifting effects on the skin. Hibiscus contains natural AHAs that accelerate cell renewal, gently exfoliate the skin, and help control acne breakouts. Hibiscus strengthens elasticity, promotes regeneration, and moisturizes skin and hair. The presence of anthocyanins helps pores appear smaller due to its astringent properties.
• Betaine (Betaine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Trimethylglycine, Glycine Betaine) is a natural amino acid derivative obtained from sugar molasses (e.g., sugar beet). Depending on its form, betaine is used in skin care or as a surfactant. In skin care, betaine conditions, soothes irritation, and protects against dryness. It has strong moisturizing properties. In cleansing products, it stabilizes foam; as an additive in shampoos and conditioners, it strengthens hair, adds volume, and improves hair grip.
• Glycerin – this sugar alcohol is part of the body’s natural moisturizing system. Lipids (fats) in the skin are made of glycerin and fatty acids. Glycerin hydrates and helps prevent water loss. It also stabilizes the skin’s barrier function.
• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter) is extracted from the fruit of the karité tree. Shea butter has a long tradition as a care and healing agent. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and beta-carotene, it protects against environmental stress, binds moisture, fights free radicals, promotes cell regeneration, and makes skin and hair soft and supple.
• Kiwi seed (Actinidia Chinensis Seed Oil / Extract) is an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin E, potassium, and magnesium. Kiwi is rich in essential omega-3 fatty acids and contains over 60% alpha-linolenic acid. The high concentration of ALA helps retain moisture in skin and hair and prevents dryness and flaking. It has pronounced anti-aging properties.
