Active Ingredients

• Bakuchiol / Bakuchi seed oil (Bakuchi (Psoralea corylifolia) Seed Oil) is derived from the seeds and leaves of the Indian plant Psoralea Corylifolia and is considered a natural retinol alternative. A powerful plant for treating skin discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and leukoderma. With antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties, bakuchi promotes the natural skin tone and helps normalize individual skin pigmentation. Bakuchiol has been shown to stimulate collagen production, minimize wrinkles and lines, and improve skin texture and firmness. The ingredient has a long tradition as a medicinal plant in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Unlike traditional retinoids, it does not cause skin burning, irritation, or redness.
• Ceramides are lipids (fats) naturally found in our skin. They form the basis of our skin’s barrier function. The skin barrier ensures that no harmful substances penetrate the skin and that the skin remains well hydrated. A functioning skin barrier is essential for healthy skin. Ceramides reduce water loss from the skin, also called TEWL (Trans Epidermal Water Loss), protect against environmental stress, bacteria, and other influences the skin is exposed to. Ceramides are therefore an effective anti-aging ingredient that also helps keep the skin smooth and soft.
• Cocoa butter (Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter) spreads easily and leaves a velvety, soft skin feel. Saturated fatty acids like palmitic acid and stearic acid have emollient effects and strengthen the skin barrier. Vitamin E, alpha-tocopherol, trace elements, and minerals help the skin regenerate and compensate for cell damage. A strong moisturizer, especially for dry and mature skin.
