How to use

FAQ

Which acids does the Daily Acid Toner contain?
The toner contains a hibiscus flower acid complex of pyruvic, malic, citric, and tartaric acids, as well as glycolic acid. It does not contain salicylic acid or BHA.

Is the Daily Acid Toner an enzyme exfoliant?
No. Although it has sometimes been described that way, the formula does not contain classic exfoliating enzymes such as papain or bromelain. Its exfoliating effect comes from the alpha hydroxy acids it contains.

How high is the AHA concentration?
Josh Rosebrook deliberately does not publish a total percentage. The glycolic acid is present at a comparatively low concentration and was formulated to work together with the various acids in the hibiscus complex. The product therefore cannot meaningfully be compared with a classic “5% or 10% glycolic toner.”

Is a higher acid concentration automatically more effective?
No. With acid products, effectiveness and tolerability depend not only on the percentage but also on the acids used, the pH, the overall delivery system, and the rest of the formula. The Daily Acid Toner deliberately takes a multi-acid approach with simultaneous high hydration.

Is the toner suitable for sensitive skin?
