Quelque Part Eau de Parfum by Racyne is a warm, creamy fragrance. Musk, ambrette, and Cashmeran give it something soft and familiar from the outset, while fir balsam and vetiver add a resinous, dry depth. Between them lies a peculiar mineral warmth—like sun-warmed stones, wood, and skin.

The opening of aldehydes and musk initially feels clear and clean, as the aldehydes are somewhat reminiscent of fresh, white cotton. Quelque Part quickly becomes warmer, however: ambrette seeds enhance the slightly velvety musk note, while jasmine absolute adds a delicate floral roundness. The fir balsam is particularly distinctive, with its resinous, slightly green warmth.

Cashmeran becomes more prominent in the drydown. Its warm, woody-musky side blends with vetiver and a soft vanilla note. However, the vanilla does not turn Quelque Part into a classic sweet vanilla perfume. Instead, it feels like a gentle warmth in the background, while vetiver and fir balsam retain plenty of dryness and structure.

Is Quelque Part a sweet perfume?
Only subtly. Vanilla and Racyne's described association with caramelized pine needles give the fragrance warmth and a slightly sweet undertone. Fir balsam, vetiver, and Cashmeran nevertheless keep the composition dry, woody, and resinous. Quelque Part is therefore far less gourmand than the vanilla note might initially suggest.

What role does fir balsam play in Quelque Part?
Fir balsam brings a warm, resinous, slightly green forest note to the composition. Together with ambrette and musk, it prevents Quelque Part from becoming too soft or purely vanilla-forward. It is precisely the combination of resin, warm skin, and dry woods that gives the fragrance its distinctive character.

Yes, Quelque Part can be described very well as a skin scent. Racyne itself emphasizes the composition's intimate, close-to-the-skin effect and describes the fragrance with associations such as skin on skin and white cotton.
