The ruhi Gua Sha is made from high-purity obsidian. Its shape perfectly reaches the contours and pressure points of the face. The traditional Chinese Gua Sha massage relieves tension, supports the natural contours of the face, and lets the skin glow with its natural radiance.

Massaging with the Gua Sha is very simple and takes only a few minutes: apply a few drops of facial oil to the cleansed face and gently glide the stone from the center of the face outward.

• The beautiful black obsidian is considered a particularly powerful stone. It forms from volcanic lava and is said in natural medicine to promote blood circulation, relieve tension and blockages, and strengthen connective tissue. The ritual

The Gua Sha treatment is an ancient massage and detoxification method from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been practiced for thousands of years. Gua means “scraping” in Chinese, and Sha means “acute illness or the resulting redness.” Using the Gua Sha stone, certain skin areas are scraped to activate reflex zones and so-called meridians, channels through which the life energy Chi flows. In TCM, the massage is mainly used to prevent illness, stimulate blood circulation and lymph flow, and eliminate toxins.

How to use

• Preparation: Thoroughly cleanse the face and apply a facial oil. Use light pressure and repeat 3–5 times on each side.
• Eyes: Place the tips of the Gua Sha at the inner corners of the eyelids and under the eyes, then gently stroke toward the temples.
• Cheeks and chin: Use the broad, inward-curved side, starting at the chin and stroking upward toward the hairline. Stroke from the mouth and nose toward the ears.
• Forehead: Use the broad end of the stone, curved either outward or inward. Place it in the middle of the forehead and stroke horizontally toward the temples and upward toward the hairline.
• Neck: Use the broad, outward-curved end of the Gua Sha. Start at the base of the neck and slowly stroke upward toward the chin.
• Cleaning & care: Clean the Gua Sha with a damp cloth and let it dry.
